Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit Palette Review

Hi everyone,

Today, I am going to review the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit Palette. For me, it was a steal at $80 as I was getting to try six shades in a single palette and I must say I am very impressed with the quality of the palette 🙂

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit Palette Review

Product Description:
Radiant luminous beauty with this curated collection of powders, blushes and a bronzer including the new ambient strobe lighting powder in iridescent strobe light, a sheer illuminating highlighter designed to emulate the way in which strobe lights capture and reflects light on the face. Designed to give you everything you need to finish, brighten, contour and highlight your skin in a single compact. Unlike traditional powder, blush and bronzer, which tend to be flat, all the ambient lighting products use photoluminescent technology to filter out harsh light and refine the appearance of the complexion. All the products in the palette are universally flattering and deliver multidimensional luminescence to every skin tone, making it appears softer and lit from within. Photoluminescent technology : the optically transparent particles alter the appearance of the skin by manipulating and refracting favourablr light. The result is the skin that looks, smooth, even and enhanced not masked. The soft focus technology helps to minimize the look of wrinkles and imperfections , neutralize discolouration ans emulate the appearance of young healthy skin.
$80 USD.

My Experience with Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit Palette:

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit Palette has six pans:

  • Iridescent strobe light : a soft pink pearl powder that gives a refined glow to the complexion.
  • Dim light : a neutral peach beige powder that blurs imperfection and highlights the complexion.
  • Diffused light : a soft, warm, pale yellow powder that conceals redness and gives skin clarity.
  • Luminous flush : a champagne rose blush fused with luminous light to evoke candlelit glimmer.
  • Mood exposure : a soft plum blush fused with mood light to brighten the complexion.
  • Luminous bronze light : a medium tan shade fused with luminous light for a softer, candlelit warmth.

The packaging is similar to rest of the Hourglass Ambient Light products – a glass-like copper finish with a big mirror on one side and six pans of product on the other side. The top shades are ambient lighting powders – Dim Light (to set my overall makeup), Iridescent Light (a limited edition shade) for highlighting high points of my face, and Diffused Light for setting undereyes. On the bottom of the pan, there are two shades of ambient lighting blushes – “Mood Exposure” and “Luminous Flush.” The last pan is ambient lighting bronzer in luminous bronze light which gives a perfect sun-kissed glow. The compact is small and travel friendly. This is all you will need while traveling.

The texture of these powders are buttery and blendable. These are perfect for day-to-day use. These look very subtle on the skin. Each ambient lightening powder, blush, and bronzer is finely milled. These are easy to apply and very difficult to over apply. If you prefer subtle, high quality, light infusing powders, then these are the right choice for you.

The only downside is that the pans are small, so you would need to find a smaller brush that can pick up the product from a particular pan.
