Hi All, Please Welcome Anuradha again as our 22nd contest entry in our IMBB Most Fashionable Party Look Contest!
So here I am, back with my second story with saree. Although the saree I wore in my first post for this IMBB contest was very heavy with zari stone and sequin work, the one I am wearing in this post is my favorite. It has a gorgeous dark rose color and is feather light to carry around effortlessly! It is a great saree for summertime evening or even marriage parties with minimal accessories and makeup required to look good in it . 🙂
So here is me wearing this saree for my brother’s wedding. In the damn hectic schedule of the ceremonies at home, I really don’t know how I managed to do some makeup and skin care!!However, the saree seemed to hide every flaw and some pics came out to be nice. 🙂

Makeup:
1) Face: Maybelline Matte mousse foundation, Maybelline white stay UV compact, Lotus herbal’s blusher in Brew Ginger and streetwear highlighter in a golden shimmery shade. A word of caution, the shimmer looked very OTT after sometime of sweating-and I had to dab the compact puff on the cheeks to prevent the pictures from having only my cheeks in them 😀
2) Lips: Maybelline color sensational Lipstick in Glamorous red
3) Eyes: Lakme perfect definition eyeliner, tips and toes gel eyeliner (made a winged eye with it..it works great!) ,Lotus herbals kajal, Lakme eyeshadow quad in peacock and desert rose, Maybelline colossal volume Mascara, Avon Ideal Shade concealer as eyeshadow base.

Anuradha which brand of gel eye liner you use??? I want to buy one, can we apply gel eyeliner on lower water line???
Hey Tapaswini I use Tips and Toes Gel liner..made a review on it here on IMBB..u can see in the list of articles 🙂 🙂 as for lower waterline..I havent used it so far coz the Lotus kajal does a fantastic job..and since the gel liner has a cakey-consistency it will be rather uncomfortable to do it I suppose..I say you try Lotus kajal..its fanstastic!!! :yes: :yes:

Thankuuu sooo much Rati!!! :inlove: :inlove: :inlove: :heart: :heart: but the real credit for draping this saree goes one of my cousin sisters who wears sarees flawlessly..without her I could have no way worn it and moreover managed it throughout that evening..and the jewellery set is really nice although mom made me go crazy with her instructions-handle it carefully-dont leave it anywhere bla bla.I feel costume jewellery is far better in this respect :smug: :smug: :smug: 😀
I toh still get bhaashans from my mom, Anuradha. Most of the time I end up wearing costume jewellery only. 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆

looking lovely..the color really stands and you are right that it can be worn to parties and marriage functions too. What I really liked reading also was that you are weatring the maybelline mousse. i bought it recently and love it and I am hoping to use for a wedding I have to attend. hope my face also looks as flawless as yours.

thaaankuuu Shreya!!! :heart: as far as I remember-this I guess is Paithani Silk-a south Indian variety-seriously I heard so many new names in sarees during shopping for my bro’s wedding that I was one hell confused …so much that at later phases of shopping I simply walked up to the counter and said-show me silk and dont tell me the names 😀 😀 😀 hehehe
