Today’s review will be on a foundation from Jovees, so let’s find out how it fared for me!
INR 265 for 30 gm.
My Experience with Jovees Silk Foundation:
This foundation comes in a very nice and classy packaging. It’s an inverted tube and you have to squeeze it to get the product out. The packaging is nice and travel friendly. It has all the details about the product at the back. It doesn’t look or feel flimsy at all. I like the packaging. They have just one shade in this range which is very disappointing. It caters strictly to medium skin tone. It has yellow undertones to it, and I think most Indians have a yellow undertone. Luckily, this shade matches me perfectly. It will suit skin tones which fall in the category of “medium light to medium” only. It will look odd on darker skin tones. Pale skin tones will look yellow and badly tanned if they use this.
The texture this foundation is lightweight and it applies smoothly on the skin. I don’t bother using a sponge or a brush to apply. I just warm the product between my palms and apply it like a regular lotion. Honestly, this can’t be called a proper foundation as it looks and feels like a BB cream. I have been using this product for 1 month or more now. It gives a slightly dewy effect to the skin but doesn’t make my skin oily. It adds a healthy glow to the face.
It only covers the slightest blemishes on the skin which can’t be seen from a distance. It doesn’t impart much coverage but you can build it up. I feel if you cross two layers, then this has the tendency to feel heavy on the skin. But for spots, it’s okay to layer it on. It does even out your skin tone though and gives a very natural finish on the skin. It doesn’t feel heavy or cakey on the skin. It won’t make you sweat like some products do.
Usually, I apply it around 11 am and it stays on my skin till I get back home at around 8-9 pm. My skin looks as fresh as it did in the morning. It doesn’t make my skin oily throughout the day and stays well. It doesn’t wear off or look bad over the course of the day.

Would I Recommend/Repurchase Jovees Silk Foundation?
I don’t usually use any complexion product on a daily basis, but it is great for times when I need something sheer on my face. It is a great buy if you are looking for a BB cream or a sheer foundation that would give you a healthy, dewy finish. I am not sure whether I will repurchase.
