Today, I will be reviewing an eyeliner from L.A. Girl’s Eyeliner range and the shade is called “Aspen Green.” I have recently picked 4 pencils from this collection. They are affordable and great if you want to experiment with colored pencils. Read this review to know about my views regarding this shade.

My Experience with L.A. Girl Eyeliner Pencil Aspen Green:
The pencil is a standard black, wooden, slim pencil with a black plastic cap. The shade name is mentioned in the body and the bottom end of the pencil is color coded. I prefer color-coded caps more as they make spotting the pencil from the stash easier. The wooden pencil allows easy sharpening and I love this thing about eyeliner pencil. Overall, the packaging is good and you can easily carry it in your purse and makeup bag.
“Aspen Green” is a deep green color which looks very mature and classy. This is not a vibrant, metallic, emerald green color. Also, the color is subtle and not a very bright, bold shade. However, it looks good on every one and you can wear this shade whenever you want without looking over the top.
The texture is creamy and does not feel harsh on the eyes, but the pigmentation disappointed me. As you can see in the hand swatch, the pigmentation fades as the line continues. Thus you will need multiple swipes to get a bold color. Also, making it work on eye covered with primer, foundation, eyeshadow is tougher than wearing it on bare skin alone. This is a weird thing that I am facing with this pencil and I am not at all happy with the experience. Also, as you need to do multiple swipes, it is not possible to do super thin, sharp line with it. You can use it better like a kajal.
As the pigmentation is poor, the color does not look super intense on the eyes. If you love subtle colors on the eyes, it is a good option. At times we love such stuffs for the regular use and at this price; this is definitely a good choice for that.
It stays on for a decent amount of time. I noticed a little fading in the inner corners. But otherwise it stayed for 5-6 hours. Overall, this is a super affordable pencil for regular use. Try this any day to bring some twist in your daily makeup looks.

- Color does not show up in a single swipe.
- Needs to be layered, especially if you have already done eye makeup.
- Does not make your eyes pop.
- This eyeliner does not create super thin lines.
Would I Recommend L.A. Girl Eyeliner Pencil Aspen Green?
I do not think I will repurchase this eyeliner pencil again. I love this color, but I would prefer something with better pigmentation. If you want an affordable violet pencil for daily use, you can buy this one.
