It has been quite long that I have not reviewed any lip glosses. I have hauled quite a lot of them recently and in this post, I am going to review L. A. Colors Pout Super Shine Lip Gloss in the shade “Juicy.” Read on for more details.

My Experience with LA Colors Pout Super Shine Lip Gloss Juicy:

This lip gloss comes housed in a small, cylindrical, plastic tube. The tube is transparent and it has an off-white cap bearing the brand’s tagline on it. The see-through tube helps to easily spot the shade. Also, there is a small label on the cap, which indicates the shade name and ingredients list. There is a small doe-foot applicator attached with the cap. This applicator is soft and easy to work with, but it picks up only a small amount of the lip gloss. so I have to dip it again and again to apply it properly. Other than this, the packaging is leak proof and does not occupy much space. So, overall the packaging is basic and travel friendly.

There are total 11 shades in this range and I have picked 10 of these. The shade that I am going to review in this post is called “Juicy.” It is a soft, peachy-coral kind of a shade. This shade is flattering for fair to medium skin tones. It is a fresh, summery shade, which looks lovely on the lips. It is good for college-going girls or for those who do not feel comfortable in wearing lipsticks on a regular basis.

These glosses from LA Colors are sheer and do not impart full coverage, so these are not suitable for women with pigmented lips, but then it can be used on top of regular lip colors to achieve a soft sheen. The brand claims it to be a high-shine lip gloss, but actually, it has a very soft and healthy sheen. There are some micro shimmers in this lip gloss, which are finely milled, and does not look chunky on the lips. The shimmers are not really noticeable and they only contribute in giving a healthy sheen to the lips. It adds a nice wet look to the lips. I have mentioned already that these are very sheer in terms of pigmentation and needs to be layered up for the color to show up properly, otherwise, it looks like a transparent lip gloss.

The texture of the lip gloss is smooth and creamy. It glides smoothly on the lips without any tug or pull. The formula is thick and I would not say that is lightweight, but it is not really heavy either. It feels comfortable on the lips. I can feel the presence of this gloss on my lips but it does not feel annoying. It is not sticky like most other drugstore glosses.

This gloss looks too shiny initially, but later on, the shine settles a bit and gives healthy sheen to the lips. Though, it is not sticky even upon layering, it has a little streaky issue. The harsh brush lines are visible on the lips while applying multiple coats, but it can be managed easily by pursing the lips together. The color spreads evenly on the lips without getting patchy. This lip gloss is not drying, but it is not too hydrating either.

This lip gloss has a mild vanilla fragrance which is slightly strong and does stay for quite long so this can be bothersome for people with sensitive noses. The longevity of this lip gloss is something, which has really disappointed me. It stays for only 2-2.5 hours on my lips. It does not survive even light meals and fades away completely. It loses its glossy sheen in the meantime and also the color fades away gradually, so frequent reapplications are required. This happens to most of the sheer finish lip glosses so this is why I don’t mind reapplying, but it can be annoying at times as it wipes off completely and does not leave any kind of tint behind.
