New Launches in Lush India

For the Body

According to newspapers, a family in India are believed to have a healing mud pond that hundreds of pilgrims have descended on to bathe in and pray at. While LUSH can’t guarantee any miraculous curative action, here at LUSH we have long believed in the therapeutic benefits of mud and use it in many skin treatments.

Glorious Mud body mask (Rs 500) …

Glorious Mud Mask

it’s made with deep cleansing Rhassoul mud to cleanse and tone the skin. To be used in the bath or shower (or sauna if you have one), simply wet this block and rub yourself all over, leave it to dry for a while and then rinse it off. Not only will the mineral rich Rhassoul mud deeply cleanse the skin and help to draw out any impurities, but there’s also sesame oil to soften and aloe vera to calm and soothe. Once washed off your skin is left unbelievably soft and delicately fragranced with the delicious scent of vanilla. So there you go, not miraculous but definitely a natural wonder worth wallowing in! Perfect for brides!

Brimstone body scrub (Rs 410)

BrimStone Body Scrub
BrimStone Body Scrub

… this scrub uses an ingredient never been used by Lush before – sulphur powder. Based on the Caribbean sulphur springs where people bathe in order to relieve their skin complaints, such as eczema, we’ve put sulphur powder in this invigorating scrub to help improve the general healthiness of the skin. Use it in the shower or bath to ensure that both your skin and the bar are nice and wet before rubbing it onto any dry patch of skin that could do with a vigorous scrub. It will start to fizzle as soon as it comes into contact with water, exploding with fine sea salt for an exfoliating scrub that will help to stimulate sluggish circulation. There’s also a blend of beautiful essential oils – lemongrass oil, jasmine absolute and ylang ylang oil – to leave a delicate floral scent on the skin.

Also, if used in the bath then the sea salt will end up in the bath water and make for a lovely, detoxing soak. This product is Vegan

THE SCENT OF SHOWER :-

Summer Pudding soap (Rs 410 for 100g)

Reminiscent of a summer pudding, with a fruity, cherry and almond scent … it’s like a typical English summer all squished together! It has whole cherries in there, exfoliating almonds and refreshing lemons. You’ll be pleased to hear we decided to leave out the soggy bread bit though! This product is Vegan

a liquid cleanser and make-up remover for all skin types – use morning and night to cleanse away all the days grime. Another recipe from Lush’s back catalogue, this one used to be called ‘Orchid Cleanser’ and is back due to popular demand from Lush’s forum. Made with fresh Singaporean orchids for softness and a delicate floral fragrance, along with lashings of almond oil. Almond oil is incredibly softening and easily absorbed, it’s very rich in vitamin A and soothes, protects and nourishes the skin. Simply smooth onto your skin and wipe away with a damp, warm flannel or cotton pad. It will remove all make-up and any trace of the day … even if you wear as much as the divine Ms Parton herself!
