Today I am reviewing the shades that fall in peach/ coral and orange category. Hope you like it. 🙂
Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet Lipstick La Favourite
- Price : Rs 2100
- Shade : A medium coral pink
- Texture : matte and lightweight. Medium pigmented and buildable. Has a tendency to settle in fine lines and it feels a bit drying. I like MAC matte lipsticks texture more.
- Staying Power : 4+ hours. It fades weirdly. Needs a lip pencil underneath.
- Fragrance : rose
- Works best with : a lovely easy to wear color. Can be paired with peach blush, neutral eyes or dark eye makeup.
- Pick it up : if you like corals and orange lip colors
- Skin tones : all skin tones
- Do I like it ? Yup!
- Rating : 3.8/5
Colorbar Lip definer Sizzling Orange
- Price : Rs 550 Shade : a warm yellow based orange
- Texture : matte and goes on smoothly on lips. Can be a bit drying.
- Staying Power : 6+ hours
- Fragrance : has a weird petrol kinda fragrance
- Works best with : most orange lipsticks
- Skin tones : all skin tones
- Do I like it ? ummmm it’s okay.
- Rating : 3/5 Hate the fragrance.
MAC Lipstick Costa Chic ( Frost)
- Price : Rs 990
- Shade : a neon pinky coral
- Texture : has a slight frost finish but not overly shimmery. It has a tendency to settle in fine lines of the lips. It also cakes up if you apply too much of it. It is best used with a bit of a gloss. Better with a lip pencil underneath.
- Staying Power : 3 + hours
- Fragrance : vanilla, no taste
- Works best with : peach/ coral blushes and light eye makeup
- Pick it up : if you like the color and don’t mind the other cons.
- Skin tones : medium to dusky skin tones
- Do I like it ? It’s okay.
- Rating : 3.5/5
MAC Blush Style
- Price : Rs 980 for refill
- Shade : coral peach with golden frost. Very similar to the NARS O Blush
- Texture : very fine and very pigmented. Can easily be overdone. If overdone it can can look too shiny or greasy because of the golden finish of the blush.
- Staying Power : 5+ hours
- Fragrance : Nil
- Works best with : most orange, peach and coral lip colors. Even with beiges, it looks nice.
- Skin tones : all skin tones. But if you have a lot of pores, you might want to go for a more matte finish. This may accentuate your pores.
- Do I like it ? LOVE IT!
- Rating : 4.5/5

MAC Blush Harmony
- Price : Rs 980 for refill
- Shade : a medium matte brown, no orangey undertones.
- Texture : very smooth. Not chalky at all. Buildable so gives you less room for mistakes.
- Staying Power : 6-7 hours
- Works best with : almost all shades except pinks.
- Pick it up : if you are looking for a perfect brown shade for contouring. Can be worn as a blush as well. Just add a hint of pink on the apple of the cheeks so that the color does not look too flat.
- Skin tones : medium
- Do I like it ? Love it!
- Rating : 4.8/5
I have contoured my face using Harmony. You can see the shade especially near my jawline in the pics above.
