Make Up For Ever Aqua Cream #5 and # 15 Review, Look, Swatches

My Experience: Make up For ever aqua cream is multipurpose cream colour that could be used on eyes, cheeks and lips. Aqua Creams are water proof, crease proof, smudge proof and super long lasting. For me, these are my wonder products. You can also use aqua creams as eye shadow base and these wouldn’t budge. They are creamy but not super creamy that would slip on your lids. The creaminess is the kinds that would give you enough time to blend and work with your product. After that aqua cream sets and stays on until you remove it at the end of the day.
Make Up Forever Aqua Cream come in 22 shades. You may check out the shades HERE. A lot of these shades are formulated for ‘cheeks and eyes’ and the rest are formulated for “cheeks , eyes and lips”.
These come in cute plastic containers that are rounded at the bottom.
I have these in shade # 5 and # 15.
# 5 peach aqua cream is a true peach colour with a very concentrated golden shimmer to it. For those who can’t wear pinks on eyes, this is colour is a solution. Also it looks great during the day. The shimmer is not chunky, it is nicely blended with the peach base. You can use # 5 aqua cream on your eyes, cheeks and lips.
# 13 taupe aqua cream is a true taupe colour with brown shimmer. It is mainly for cheeks and eyes. I like it on my eyes and not on my cheeks. All I do is that I apply #13 on my lid , define my upper lash line with a liquid liner , apply mascara and I am sorted for the day.
I personally don’t like applying this product on my lips because I feel they are quite thick and drying. # 5 peach looks beautiful on cheeks as well but the biggest challenge with it is to get the same amount of colour on both the cheeks.
These are best used with fingers. I like to scrape off a little aqua cream with a plastic knife and use it. I have also noticed that it blends beautifully with synthetic brushes.
I think these are a must have in anyone’s collection. I am not a huge fan of cream eye shadows but these have impressed me beyond limits. Worth every penny.
These are also better than regular cream blushes because they don’t slip and are not super creamy as the regular cream blushes.
Here is the eye makeup look I did using # 5 Peach Aqua Cream
- Step 1: Apply # 5 aqua cream for all over lid
- Step 2: Apply dark brown eyeshadow on the outer corners and blend inside bringing it almost midway on the lid
- Step 3: Line your eyes with a brown eye liner.
- Step 4 :Apply # 5 aqua cream on cheeks.
- Step : Apply your fav peachy lipstick or lip gloss. Done! 🙂

There is nothing hi tech about these , just the fact that these are very concentrated so you can go overboard with these. Anybody can use these, infact they are really good for starters. 🙂

Ya must be..but no my hair is not cut in short layers or anything..actually now tho I am not sure what the cut is also!! It was horrible to start with..the lady did something and then she tried to cover it up by setting it all straight straight so I looked like a cat stepping out of water and just as happy grrrrrrrrr and ya reccos on a good leave-in conditioner, pls.. 😀

# 5 is a lovely shade but do try it poora din before purchasing. 🙂 yeah, it looks lovely on cheeks. And it’s not pinky kinds, it’s a peachy pink so it goes beautifully on most Indian skin tones. 🙂

yup, Makeup forever is available in Mumbai. you have cream eye shadows in revlon. Maybelline Dream matte mousse blush is like a cream blush. NYX has a range of cream blushes. 🙂
