I could not believe these are $3 each when I used this cream eyeshadow which is longlasting as well and these two words don’t go together for most of the cream shadows that I have tried. I was amazed at this one because this shadow is mousse and cream in application and transforms into a shadow and sets very well in a minute and does not budge! What’s more, this one can be used with your liner brush for a soft look and also used as a base to another powder shadow which will last you for 10 hours literally!
The ELF studio line cream eyeshadows are a steal and I should have got more, but for trial purpose, I got just one and more of those dollar products from the essential line :headbang: These eyeshadows are amazing in every aspect. The packing comes in a carton with a window where you can see the color inside. The shadow itself comes encased in a transparent box, which is kind of bulky and big with a matte screw lid to it.
There is a lot of shadow in the mousse form in there and it is not really whipped in texture, but is surely creamy and cakey. It is not hard, but you do need to swipe a little more than once to get a decent amount of color from it.
The texture is soft and when applied, it sets beautifully in a minute, so you need to be fast and decide whether you want to leave it at that or blend it in. When blended, this one becomes lighter and I like to pat it rather than smudge blend.
The shadow stays creaseless for close to 6 hours on my oily lids which means it is fantastic. It doesn’t need a base as this itself makes for a fabulous base. I tried smudging it and it just won’t budge after a minute of application. The thicker the layer is, the more it will stay.
This serves as an awesome base to powder shadows which you may want to darken with a darker base. It can also be used as a light liner using your Maybelline Lasting Drama Gel Liner brush :yahoo:, though too mild for me in that form, I love it as a shadow.
The only catch I could find is that it can get clumpy sometimes and then the clump sets, after which, it leaves naked skin when the clump is removed. So, the application needs to be even.
The shade is an exact “pewter color,” to be precise. Like always, I tried to share with you guys a very wearable shade. It’s kind of a taupe with metallic finish, no obvious glitter or shimmer, just the finish I like. The shade looks like soft smokey for Indian skin and not at all over the top. The shade can be used for regular wear. Apply this, then using a flat brush, put some black in the crease, line your eyes, and it will stay for you the entire day. I would say it is a fantastic shade for Indian skin tone.
Last Word on ELF Studio Cream Eyeshadow – Pewter:
If you get a chance to get these, get them all, :stars: my next favourite is eggplant. I can’t believe such a long-staying, setting, crease-free shadow can be in cream form; just one word “FANTASTIC!” The shade, finish, texture and staying power is a top favourite for me at the moment in my stash.

Hi. Great review.
But is ELF even available in India? I’m hearing some people say yes in previous comments, but I haven’t ever come across them, plus no website sells them.
