Hello ladies!
Today I am going to do a special post, that is, makeup products that I regret buying. I am a college student with no sources of income except my pocket money and the money that I am able to rob from my sweet mum by convincing her. So everything I buy holds a special place for me, and when they turn out to be a flop show I am so damn hurt and sad because every single penny that I spend on these comes from my hard saved money. So it’s very important for me that whatever I buy should turn out to be a good product. But still I tend to make mistakes. So here are some of those makeup products which I regret buying:
1. The Body Shop Moringa Milk Body Lotion
It did to me the worst that a product can do you. Any guesses? Guess guess. THIS THING GAVE ME ALLERGY. Can you believe it? Other things-fragrance, moisturisation etc. are apart, I can’t even come to that level to comment on that because I can’t apply thus to my skin. This gave me rash and pruritis. I have given this to my mum to use it. She likes it. Says it moisturizes well. But for me it’s a NO NO NO.
2. Lotus Herbals Tea Tree Clarifying Face Mask
This thing does no good to my skin. Fails to fulfill the claim for being a clarifying pack. Even simple multani mitti pack works better. So I am going to avoid any face pack from lotus because I have lost my faith in it because I paid rs.180/- for this piece of shit.
3. U.V. Sorb Sunscreen Gel
At first I loved this product because of excellent sun protection it provides. This forms a film over your skin and you can’t feel sun scorching your skin; as we feel when get out on hot summer days. SO YOU MUST BE THINKING, WHAT’S THE PROBLEM? It is that I applied this on my face one day, was sitting idle and I licked my lip; I wanted to puke the very next moment it’s so bitter.yuck.hated it so hard. I mean I know we not supposed to lick our skin after applying sunscreen, but every time I eat something, I can feel its taste in my mouth. So now use it rarely just on arms on really hot days.
4. Everyuth Rose Water Cleanser And Toner
This thingy broke me out badly. So you Mr. .are going to trash. I got this as a pack of 2 for 80/-.finished the first by using it as rose water in face packs, but I guess that too broke me out. So this is going to go in trash.
5. Niver Lip Care
This is waxy, it irritates my lips; gives a burning tingling sensation. I think it is some cheap, fake one that I bought

these products dont sound too good.. though am surprised by the Nivea lip balm.. I ve always loooved nivea lip balms! but yeah i guess u r right u might have gotten ur hands on a fake by mistake! 😯 😯 😯 :shout: :shout: :shout:

Awww..real bad experiences you had naa..yeah..I think that moringa thing didn’t suit you, coz Rati did a review here, and it was ok for her, neither too good, nor too bad!! And I think with Lotus, there quite a lot hits and misses!!!

it has bitter taste,melts and seeps into mouth,,yuck :bully:
really true kanika the sunscreen which I used before suncote had a bitter taste. the moment i eat something I get a very poisonous taste in my mouth .but that sunscreen was too good. but I have stopped using it.

Kanika the tea tree pack has some stupid funda.i buy a tube it is shit, and the next tube works amazingly well … So thats really inconsistent :spank:
I also bought that Nivea lip balm while travelling once,some 35 rupees no ??? Crap it is. You couls finish it by using it as a cuticle pen, just rub some before a shower , works fine that way 😛 😛

lotus aloevera gel a total crap i bought it at 165 rs for 100 gm it has given me rough flaky and patchy skin i regret it coz my patanjali and nature aloevera gel is half the price and does its job fantastic…… lotus papyablem cream utter piece of shit ….lotus apiscrub is tooooooo harsh for my skin just gave it to my kamwali…..i m never gonna use lotus now
lakme strawberry creme doesnt works in winters in summers in springs doesnt work on my oily skin my bhabhi’s combi skin and my mom’s dry skin i dont know this creme is meant for whom and in which weather…..
apart from this there so many small buys from small brands but since it didnt cost me so much i dont regret buying it
so sad those products did not work for u kanika.. and ya i agree with u on that nivea lip balm.. a few months ago i too bought it and it really tingles and feels itchy after 1 min of application..i threw it.. :hunterwali:

cali I have a combi skin more towards oily .infact I was quite happy with lotus spf matte.
But am so in love with my ponds TM that i stopped using any other creams.
but sadly to say that I bought lotus spf 5o based on IMBB reccos.
but sorry to say it turned my skin super oily and greasy.
It is still lying untouched in my shelf.me planning to use it on my arms.
Hi shreya ,me too combi skin by the way I wanted to buy acne gel from lotus. but SA insisted me to get tea tree gel.
she said it really helps fight boils and acne.
though I ddid not have acne but did have boils as a part of changing cosmetics and all.
somehow it did not help me at all.did not like the feeling of that gel on my skin.

I was dying to buy new complexion foundation from revlon after reading IMBB review.
but sadly to say I think the shade which i bought does not suit my skin tone.
moreover the foundation is too drying on skin (being an oily)
I need to blend it with neutrogena oil free moisturizer to get the desired effects.
somehow I am in so love with ponds TM so then what is the the point in mixing foundation and mooisturizer ?

on my last week visit to a lotus counter ,i shared my experience with SA.the SA told me because that particular sunscreen is cream based
thats why it makes the skin greasier.and she wanted me to try another gel sunscreen
but somehow I am happy with 3 in 1 matte spf 40. but i could not buy as it was of out of stock.
I remember I have bought so many tubes of spf 40 while I was in chennai doing my studies
