I got couple of anarkali dresses for a wedding to attend .please see the attached pics ,i was thinking of just black lined eyes with some eyeshadow and nude lip color to go with them .I have no clue for the white dress.Please help me with the makeup for these dresses.
About me ..my eyes are really small and droopy so please suggest some thing that they don’t look like that :D.

i got it from shanti in koti ..hyderabad..you must be knowing the place :)..
i really liked the last black one. For makeup for that dress I would go kind of ‘mauve’ on the lips with a light blush and keep it simple on the eyes- just an eyeliner and a mascara. would definitely go for big earrings like jhumkas or something and wear a simple bracelet or khada 🙂 (sorry could not resist on the jewelry part).
I think I have more dark colors in my wardrobe so i have this tendency to be rracted towards the darker colors.

After foundation, concealer and powder for the eyes-
For all three a nice neutral eye will look best. A medium bronzy champagne color all over the lid and deeper brown in the crease and outer corner. Make sure to blend this well.
Then apply a thin line of black liner along the upper lashline thickening it at the outer half of the lid and then winging it upward as this well reduce the droopy eye effect.
Apply a nice warm toned pink blush like nyx spice and a neutral brown pink lippy for the red and black dress and for the whte i would suggest a deep fuschia color as this wil add some drama (:

red lipstick ..i never bought a red lipstick before :D…im scared it would look too much …i will do one thing i will wear red lipstick and show it to my dad if he is not shocked then it will rock !
Your dresses are gorgeous. 🙂 I think with the white dress you can go for bright fuchsia or anice purpley lipstick You can apply little shimmery / golden gloss just on the centre of the lower lip.
I would keep my eyes heavily kohled and with tons of mascara.

ok kohling up my eyes :yahoo: …i avoid mascara as i wear contacts(read im clumsy) but will try once the whole look and go with it if the mascara works well with my contacts. 🙂

my suggetion:
for white dress:pink strawberry gloss on lips with lakme desert rose quad for eye shadow.
for blacky(toooooo nice): go for mauve/brown based shades for lips and just a kajal with a winged eye makedo using any liquid eyeliner wil suit you.

yep just got the jewellry !! after 7 hours of shopping i finally found what i liked..
i bought all these dresses in hyderabad …took 5 days of hunting for these dresses. Buying indian wear is so difficult .. :stars:

For the black I would suggest a coppery eyeshadow with light liner and lots of mascara and with the white mauves and purples would look great.

for the white, you can wear a super bright lippie in matte if it is a day look , and add on some gloss if it is a night look, bright pink , orange red , or red pink would be great..
for dark coloured suit (black) wear a smoky eye and use some gold highlighter on ur cheekbones, center of ur lids, and balance the look with a pink brown or berry blush and a MLBB matte shade. or a very muted pink
for the red coloured suit, wear a pink lippie and gold lip gloss, keep eyes either matte in a contrast colour such as olive green or keep them nearly bare, with neutral shadow and tonnes of mascara. largely wear makeup to balance out your outfit, so that the makeup doesnt clash or look too matchy matchy..
u can have baby pink makeup with the white one. it will suits you.

hey i think with the white red lipstick would go really well because white one is sophisticated and simple so red lips would look nice i have to go for enagement too on sunday and i have a white and gold anarkali which im going to wear so i was thinking that i will also wear red lipstick xxx
