Marks and Spencer Nature’s Ingredients Coconut Hand Cream Review

Hey lovely ladies,

Yes, I did kind of have a mini M&S haul! This was one of the hand creams I picked from there. I too wanted to get on the whole coconut bandwagon that’s doing rounds nowadays with coconut scented bath and body products as well as makeup. Coconut sure seems popular right now.

My Experience with Marks and Spencer Nature’s Ingredients Coconut Hand Cream:

My skin type – except for my face, my skin is extremely dry. I used to have really soft hands at one time. I wasn’t into any extreme maintenance but did use hand cream at night and somewhat regular manicures. And then I became a mom – with little to no time for manicures or even hand creams. Now that the kids are slightly older, I am trying to change back.

Marks and Spencer Nature's Ingredients Coconut Hand Cream Packaging

Packaging:
The hand cream comes packaged in a simple plastic tube with a flip top from which the product can be easily dispensed out. The tube allows sufficient control over the amount of product being dispensed. There is no outer cardboard packaging or seal.

Fragrance:
It has a light coconut fragrance – not the fragrance of the coconut oil that we Indians are used to but more of the soft sweet coconut pulp fragrance. It’s sweet enough to be pleasant but not too sweet to feel asinine and off-putting.

Texture:
The texture of the cream is consistent with the other variants I have tried in the past. The hand cream is extremely lightweight and easy to spread. Also, it absorbs quickly and completely into the skin – without any residue or feeling of stickiness. This is excellent because it allows you to be able to continue working – like using your laptop, your cell phone, etc. without having to worry about getting smudge marks on everything.

Impact:
With this, my hands feel soft and supple – not for the whole day but say 8-10 hours or till they are dipped in the water again. It is definitely not an intensive hydration cream like the L’occitane Shea Butter one. However, it is perfect for daytime ready moisture replenishment of your hands. It will give your hands light moisturization and maintain the hydration level of the skin.

One last thing – Even though the label says Coconut Hand cream, and yes, coconut has been used in the product, coconut or coconut oil are not the main ingredient. It is about mid-level in the ingredient list.

To sum this up for you:

Pros of Marks and Spencer Nature’s Ingredients Coconut Hand Cream:

• Extremely lightweight.
• Absorbs quickly.
• Spreads easily.
• No white cast at all.
• No sign of greasiness or residue left behind.
• Does not stain.
• Has a lovely soft coconut fragrance.
• Made with integrity. Neither this product nor its ingredients have been tested on animals.

Cons of Marks and Spencer Nature’s Ingredients Coconut Hand Cream:

• Not intensely moisturizing.
• The “coconut” prominently mentioned on the packaging can make one think that it’s one of the main ingredients, it’s not.
• While the flip top tube is easy to use, it is a 100 ml packaging – so, not the most convenient to pop into your bag.

IMBB Rating: 4/5

I have kind of started liking these Marks and Spencer Hand Creams. They aren’t really a “Ride or Die” product for me but they are decently priced and convenient for me to have a couple of them in rotation at one time – in different rooms. It isn’t really something for the handbag – considering the size – but if it was available in a 30-50 ml packaging – that would have worked too.
