My Experience with Maybelline Pink Frosting Dream Bouncy Blush:

The blush comes in a small circular pan with a clear lid on it, which helps to spot the shade easily from makeup stash. The golden beige round plastic pan bears a label at its base bearing the shade name, number and other product-related information. The lid has the brand’s tagline printed on it in white fonts. This lid shuts tightly with a satisfactory click and makes the packaging travel friendly.

The shade “Pink Frosting” is a soft, natural pink shade with slightly cool undertones. The blush contains fine micro shimmers in it, which are not much noticeable on the skin and adds soft sheen. So, this blush can be used both at day and nighttime. The blush has average pigmentation. So, it needs to be layered on to make it really pop. It does not have that insanely pigmented formula.

So, you will not end up getting those clown cheeks in a single swipe. The color is definitely buildable with a few swipes. Therefore, I would not consider this as a con since the blush is buildable. I like this one over those insanely pigmented blushes as they might give you clown cheeks if you apply the product with a heavy hand, but with this bouncy blush, you can easily build up the color intensity according to your choice without the fear of going over the top. This makes it a great option for beginners too.

Since, this is a dream bouncy blush, it has a bouncy texture. Even, if I poke my fingers on the blush, it comes back to its original dome shape. The texture is definitely something, which is very interesting. It almost feels like moulding clay. The texture is very soft and smooth. It is kind of fluffy and very easy to blend. It blends amazingly into the skin, giving a natural flush of color to the cheeks. It never emphasizes my skin pore or dry patches.

The blush sets to a dewy kind of finish. It adds a healthy pink glow to my skin. I love how it melts on my skin. I do not have to put much effort to blend it. The blush is non comedogenic. It does not irritate my skin, does not cause breakouts either. Though, it is somewhere between crème and mousse, but it never makes my skin oily. It gives the finish of a powder blush.

I like this blush in all aspects except one i.e. its longevity. The blush hardly survives 3 hours approximately on my oily skin. The color fades away completely after that and I have to reapply.
