1. Ashwem Beach/ Arambol Beach…..pure virgin beaches …..you can literally smear yourself with the sand there and still feel clean !!! :waytogo: :secret2: :secret2: :secret2:
2.Goa Spice Plantations in Ponda- i loved the whole experience of touring the spice markets, saw how pepper, vanilla, cinnamon, cardamon, turmeric, and many many other varities of spices, can also buy good quality at cheapest prices in Goa ! :haanji: :haanji:
3. Souza Lobo – is an institution ! Amazing Goan food on the Calangute Beach! It is delightful :eat: :eat:
4. Thalassa, Vagator – This is a Greek Restaurant Near Little Vagator Beach- absolutely stunning views of the sea below and awsome lipsmacking food !
The best beaches would be Candolim and Anjuna. Anjuna has a Wednesday day market and Saturday night market that you should really check out. Candolim is a very peaceful beach, not many tourists… Don’t bother with places like Miramar and Calangute, especially Calangute can get very crowded and dirty. Be sure to check out the churches. π
Agree with Nupur saaaaaaaaaaaaaara Goa :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: not to miss beaches – Calungate, anjana, Candolim, Baga. I stayed in a resort Aldeia Santa Rita, it was nice with live music, pool and all but i think it is a 4 star one. :specs: :specs:

If you are looking for peace go to Palolem beach(south goa). Not much to do there though but good for a day. Have food at Draupadi, make sure you wait for the sea facing seats! Fernandes for breakfast options. Its amazing, you can spend a lot of time there, eating, relaxing and watching the sea. You can also rent a bike and explore a few places nearby.
Hope u have an awesome time in Goa…here’s my list:
Calangute-Baga are the most happening and touristy beaches, can indulge in lots of water sports there. But the pristine beaches are Arambol and those in South Goa.
For food don’t miss Heera Palace in Mapusa City (bang opp Mapusa Residency). It’s not as hyped as Souza Lobo, but the food is to die for and yes definitely authentic (I am a Goan π )
Must visit places:
Calangute, Baga, Anjuna…great for shopping…Colva Beach (South Goa)….bargain shamelessly!!!
Fort Aguada, Cabo De Rama & Chapora Fort (this is where dil chahta hain was shot)
Basilica of Bom Jesus, Chapel and Tomb of St Francis Xavier and St Augustine Tower (all 3 in Old Goa)
Shri Mangueshi Temple,The Pilar Seminary, Panjim Church
Governors Palace, Vintage Car Museum (Nuvem, Salcette, South Goa), Big Foot (near Margao), Dudhsagar Waterfalls, Dona Paula
Also, don’t miss the River cruises or the Casino cruises on the Mandovi river (Caravela-Casino Goa & Casino Royale are good)
5 star Beach Resorts: Taj Exotica, Cidade de Goa, Kenilworth Beach Resort, Leela Beach Resort
Most hotels organise tours around Goa or you can also hire a private cab.
