I own a decent perfume collection ranging from affordable celebrity perfumes to high-end. I’m an absolute lover of fragrances and I use them every single day as they make me feel happy and fresh. I have never reviewed any of my perfumes yet except a body mist from BBW, so today I’m here to review a celebrity perfume by Jennifer Lopez – My Glow by J.LO.
This was a gift from my sister-in-law for my marriage and my first ever celebrity perfume. I have a love hate relationship with this fragrance.

Description of the product from the website:

My Glow by J.LO was created during her pregnancy and it marks Jennifer’s motherhood. The perfume is available in a feminine falcon crowned with an angel shaped stopper. It includes lavender lotus freesia peony white rose green leaves Casablanca lily sandalwood musk heliotrope and precious wood.

Key Notes:

Top notes: Lavender, Water Lily, Freesia
Middle notes: Rose, Green leaves, Peony, Lily
Base notes: Musk, Sandlewood, Heliotrope, Precious wood.

My Take on the My Glow by J.LO Perfume

I am not a very huge fan of celebrity perfumes as they tend to either very sweet or very floral. As I got this as a gift I wanted to try it and also the bottle looked very cute. This fragrance came along with body lotion and body moisturizer which are good. The bottle makes a nice decorative accent on the vanity.
Fragrance: According to the key notes, it is supposed to be very floral fragrance but in actual terms it not over the top floral. It leans more towards fresh and aromatic fragrance. I love the way it smells on me. It smells very soft and subtle and definitely not overpowering. This is a unique fragrance which is not comparable also it isn’t a very heavily scented fragrance which makes it ideal for everyday use. Fragrance on the skin might vary from person to person depending on their body temperature.
Longevity:It lasts on my skin for good 5-6 hours but you need to re-apply it often to keep smelling fresh all day long.

Bottle: As all traditional perfumes, this also comes in a glass container which looks very simple and cute with an angle / cupid shaped stopper. Logo of the fragrance is engraved on the middle of the bottle.
Feel on the skin:This fragrance doesn’t irritate the skin and very suitable for sensitive skins too also the fragrance is not overpowering and doesn’t irritate the nose.
As I said I have a love hate relationship with this as it smells really pleasant most of the times but I also hate the fact that it can sometimes smell powdery depending on the temperature of the skin.

Pros of My Glow by J.LO Perfume:

• Very inexpensive.
• Bottle is very light and easy to carry in your purse.
• Very clean floral fragrance.
• Decent staying power during colder months of the year.
• It can be used as a day/night perfume.
• Cute looking bottle.
• Great to wear for work or a casual day out.
• Doesn’t irritate the skin.
• Doesn’t bother someone who has allergy towards strong fragrances.

Cons of My Glow by J.LO Perfume:

• Some people might find the fragrance powdery.
• Not a very long-lasting fragrance and you need to re-apply it often during the day.
I would recommend this product to someone who is looking for no fuss, no mess, no offensive light and clean smell and who is just stepping up their fragrance collection from body mists to perfumes. Also this is a very good fragrance for those ladies who suffer from headaches with strong fragrances.
