Hello beautiful ladies,
After sharing my views about two NYX single eye shadows, cherry and spring flower, I am back with the third shade I have. This shade is completely different from the other two. The shade is called ‘Tropical’ while, cherry is a mild shade of red and spring flower is a light shade of lavender/purple, Tropical is a shade of peach. According to me it’s an ideal shade for summers. It looks soft and subtle and can easily be used on daily basis.
Presently it’s for Rs. 550 but I bought it few months ago and at that time it was for Rs.375.
Like all NYX singles, this too comes in a small black packaging with a transparent lid. The lid and the packaging are hard and sturdy and can easily protect the shadow from getting damaged, even if it is dropped by mistake. On the center of the transparent lid, you can find ‘NYX’ written in bold letters.
Mica, disostearyl malate, talc, mineral oil, sorbitan sesquioleate, butylparaben. May Contain: polymethyl methacrylate, methylparaben, dimethicone, squalane, magnesium stearate, zinc stearate.

Our pressed mineral eye shadows pack a color punch, are easy to blend and last for many hours.
My take on NYX Eye Shadow Single – Tropical:
The thing I like about NYX singles is the shape of the shadow inside the box. The shadow is divided into four little squares which are further divided into triangles. The whole look seems to be like little diagonals and I somehow love it. Now coming to the properties of the shadow, tropical is a soft shade of peach which is perfect for a regular use. It can easily be applied to work and can be made little dramatic by applying similar colors with this. I prefer to use this alone, to give my eyes some color without looking too dramatic. Like other NYX singles, Tropical too is a shade that is easy to use as it is easy to blend. I have also used it sometimes to blend shadows in my crease area. Tropical is not exactly a matte shade, as it contains little shimmers in it. The color is not too shimmery but is not a perfect matte.
Pigmentation wise, tropical is just fine and to actually make the color show on lids, you need to apply 2-3 coats, but after that it is one of the best colors that can be used in spring. The color does not have fallout issue. All you have to do is apply it on the lid by patting the brush.
As the color is light, its staying power is not very good. It may stay for 3-4 hours, but as it starts fading, it becomes so light that it becomes almost invisible.
Pros of NYX Eye Shadow Single – Tropical:
