My Experience with NYX Eyeshadow- Golden Dune:

The shadow comes in a basic small black square packaging with a transparent lid, which shuts well. The shade name, ingredients and everything is mentioned on the back side, but is not visible due to price tag and date details. The packaging is pretty decent.

The color looks almost like a medium bronze color in the pan but actually is more of an antiqued gold shade. It is a golden bronze color. I always wanted to try different gold eyeshaows, since they flatter Indian skin tones extremely well. It is mid tone gold color with some yellow tones to it with a good mix of bronze. The bronze it has does make it slightly unique and more wearable from other gold eye shadows. The color is very easy to wear and goes well with many outfits unlike only traditional wear only. It is not too bright and looks subtle on my medium skin tone. It is a metallic finish and has lot of finely milled shimmer to it, which really compliments the color and gives a nice sheen. The color will flatter all skin tones very well. It looks amazing when worn alone all over the lid with some liner, and also pairs well with other darker shades in the crease.

It is extremely pigmented and has good color payoff in a single swipe. For those with normal to dry eyelids will not need a primer to make it last long and show up well. But as much as the color and pigmentation are impressive, the texture is pretty okay. It is very soft not at all hard or chalky but not too smooth either and quite crumbly. As a reason there is quite a lot of fallout in the pan when picked with a brush. There is also some fallout while application making things messy. To combat that I tried using it with a slightly damp brush and that way there is much less fallout. The eye shadow is easily to blend and has a decent staying power of around 4 hours on my oily eye lids without a primer before it starts to crease, but with a good primer it stays intact for around 8 hours, after which I notice creasing and fading.

Do I recommend NYX Eyeshadow- Golden Dune?

I think the color is simply gorgeous, but because of so much fallout the application gets messy, if you are okay with the fallout and willing to use it damp then it is worth a try, but overall it is not a must-have !
