I was planning to pick up a metallic lipstick for a long time and finally got myself this NYX Liquid Suede Metallic Matte Lipstick – Bella. Read on to know more about it.

My Experience with NYX Liquid Suede Metallic Matte Lipstick Bella:

Packaging:
NYX Liquid Suede Metallic Matte Cream Lipstick comes in a beautiful long color-coded tube with a black cap. It also has a nice long applicator wand that works perfectly to apply the color on lips. The sponge defines the lips well without any struggle. It is a very simple packaging that I can carry easily.

Shade:
This range offers 12 beautiful shades and I like the variety of shades. The shade ‘Bella’ is a beautiful rose gold pink shade that looks so natural on the lips; it is perfect for my medium skin tone. It can be used with other lip shades to highlight them and can also be used to create ombre lips as the shade looks gorgeous. It has rose gold shimmer particles in it that look super shiny. The shade is well pigmented and requires one-two stokes for the perfect color pay off. It occupies my lips evenly and can hide lip pigmentation too.

Texture and Quality:
This lipstick has a soft and creamy texture that glides smoothly on the lips without any tugging. It doesn’t create any problem during application and works easily on the lips. The formula doesn’t feel sticky. It sets to a beautiful shiny matte texture, which looks flawless. This is a metallic lipstick and delivers that perfect metallic-shiny finish on the lips. It looks amazing!

I thought I’d never would fall in love with metallic shades but this one has proved me wrong. The formula is perfect and feels so comfortable as it doesn’t dry out my lips. If you have extremely dry lips, then you might need a lip balm underneath as this lipstick can’t provide enough hydration. Still, I love the formula as it never feels patchy and never clings to dry patches.

But without a lip balm, it looks slightly cracked on the lips. Sometimes, it even defines the fine lines pretty deeply. So, I prefer to use a lip balm to moisturize my lips well first and then this lipstick to achieve a flawless look. It dries out quickly and is a transfer-proof, smudge-proof and waterproof lipstick. The shimmers do spread around a bit with time, though.

Staying Power:
It stays on for around 7 hours and it can survive normal food as well. But after having an oily heavy meal, it looks faded from the centre. Otherwise, it looks good throughout the day. It has lot of shimmer particles which tend to transfer. So when I have a meal they go into my stomach, which is a bummer for me. A good remover is needed to remove this lipstick perfectly.

Overall:
This is my first metallic lipstick and I love it. This beautiful shade flatters my skin tone perfectly and gives a gorgeous metallic finish to my lips. The formula is pretty good too and lasts well.
