Organix/OGX is that one brand that I have always trusted when it comes to hair-care! I have tried so many of their old ranges and now I am on to try some newly launched products from them. After the super-hit Moroccan oil range, they have launched the extra-strength range which I couldn’t miss at any cost. So here is the review for the shampoo. I have reviewed the conditioner before.
Price: Rs 725 for 385 ml
Indulge your hair with this creamy lather, made with repairing silk proteins and hydrating argan oil. It will help restore your hair while locking in intense moisture to create silky, perfect strands.
My Experience with OGX Extra Strength Argan Oil of Morocco Shampoo:
Packaging: The shampoo bottle comes in a bright aqua coloured bottle which looks fat and loaded with the shampoo. It has a nice label over it mentioning the name and all its claims. It is accompanied with a shimmery flip cap which opens and closes with a click so no need to worry about spilling. The bottles sit nicely in my shower cabinet without falling off. The earlier Organix bottles were pretty fat but I don’t know why they changed to a smaller size despite the quantity mentioned as same. I think these are a little expensive for 725 bucks.
Consistency and fragrance: The consistency of this shampoo is runny like any other shampoo. The shampoo comes in off-white colour with a pearly finish which makes it look even more luxurious. A coin sized amount is needed to work through my hair. It lathers absolutely well, and the more it lathers, the cleaner scalp I get. The shampoo has a nice perfumed fragrance with a refreshing aqua touch. It smells nice and pleasant but the scent does not linger in my hair like the other Organix ranges.
Results: The shampoo leaves my air clean and refreshed. It does not weigh my hair down at all; in fact, it gives a natural bounce to my hair. It makes my hair extremely soft and shiny. They look very healthy after a month’s use. It technically does not repair my hair completely, but definitely helps revive my hair from the damaged caused due to chemical treatments.
It hydrates my hair shaft very well but not my dry ends. My ends are more damaged and dry as compared to the hair shaft. Hence I was a little disappointed that it did not hydrate the majorly damaged portion of my hair which it claimed to. My hair looks a little dry on the day I wash it; but the next day it looks perfect. So overall, it is quite good but I like the older products more rather than these new releases.
Pros of OGX Extra Strength Argan Oil of Morocco Shampoo:
• OGX makes full ranges with shampoo, conditioner, treatment mask and serum.
• It looks very gorgeous in shiny aqua blue colour with a shimmery good cap.
• The consistency is great and lathers up amazingly in my hair.
• It has a very pleasant aqua mineral scent to it.
• It cleans my scalp very well leaving my hair fresh and bouncy.
• It makes me hair super silky, soft and smooth.
• It helps revive my damaged hair.
• OGX does not test on animals.
Cons of OGX Extra Strength Argan Oil of Morocco Shampoo:
• The bottle is smaller than what we used to get; however, the quantity mentioned is the same.
• It makes my hair look a bit dry initially.
IMBB Rating: 3.5/5
Will I Repurchase/Recommend OGX Extra Strength Argan Oil of Morocco Shampoo?
Nope, I wouldn’t pick anything from the new range of Organix because they don’t live up to the expectations as set by older Organix products. You can get the other Moroccan oil range from Organix and not this one.
