My Take on Peter Thomas Roth Mega Rich Body Lotion:
This is the second product from Peter Thomas Roth that I am reviewing on IMBB. On my last trip to Sephora in Delhi, I noticed that they now stock Peter Thomas Roth products. I didn’t know that this stuff was available in India, so it was a nice surprise.
This particular body lotion from the Mega-Rich collection is priced at Rs. 1300/- for 250 ml, making its price comparable to that of L’Occitane products. It is certainly more expensive here in India when you compare it with its price abroad.
Speaking of the product, it doesn’t let you down. The ingredient list is more or less immaculate, free of controversial preservatives such as parabens. That’s a huge relief for me, because parabens really make me jittery!
The fragrance is mild and pleasant. Yet again, I would make a comparison with L’Occitane. The fragrance is reminiscent of the fruity-floral L’Occitane fragrance.
The formula of the lotion is between lightweight and thick or heavy, but it definitely leans more towards the lightweight side. It applies evenly and conveniently and is absorbed effectively by the skin within one to two minutes without giving any sensation of stickiness.
As a moisturiser, I would say that it is pretty good as a nice, lightweight moisturiser. If you have very dry or flaky skin, then this is not something that you should opt for. It is perhaps ideal for normal to dry skin. But it is lightweight enough for oily-skinned people to use it as well.
Pros of Peter Thomas Roth Mega Rich Body Lotion:
- Lightweight, effective moisturiser that gives you soft and smooth skin.
- Mild and pleasant fragrance.
- Absorbed by the skin evenly and effectively. No sticky residue.
- Non-controversial ingredient list.
Cons of Peter Thomas Roth Mega Rich Body Lotion:
- This won’t be very effective on very dry skin.
My Verdict on Peter Thomas Roth Mega-Rich Body Lotion:
This is a very good product in all respects: the ingredients, the formula, the effectiveness and the fragrance. However, make sure that your skin is not too dry for this one. It is a lightweight lotion after all.
Make sure to try the tester at Sephora if you can.
