Phyto Paris Phytopolleine Botanical Scalp Treatment Review

Hello friends,

Today, I am here to share a hair care product, which has been a slight disappointment for me.  I talked about incorporating Phyto Paris hair care products in my beauty regime some time back and this Phytopolleine scalp treatment is part of the same beauty regime which turned out to be average unlike the shampoo. I was actually hoping for impressive results considering it is a 100% botanical formulation and has beneficial oils such as cypress oil, sage and rosemary,  etc. But it works like any normal oil concoction and I am thinking of switching back to my homemade oil rather than splurging on average products.

Price:

$38 for 0.8 fl Oz (25 ml), price excluding shipping and taxes.

Packaging:

This highly-scented scalp treatment oil comes in a sturdy and transparent bottle packaging with long, narrow nozzle tip for ease of application. It has a strong aroma which is really nauseating and I cannot stand the smell for more than 20 minutes, to be honest.  Overall, the packaging is quite user friendly and travel friendly.

My Experience with Phyto Paris Phytopolleine Botanical Scalp Treatment:

I invested in this high-end scalp treatment along with the shampoo to target my moderate hair fall and hair thinning issues, but to my surprise, this hair oil turned out to be average as I am yet to discover impressive results even after 2-3 months of regular usage. The product description claims to give healthy, lustrous and thick hair and mentions that this treatment is ideal for weak and anemic hair, which seems to be true up to an extent as I have seen healthy and shiny hair, but I haven’t seen any other significant change.  The growth and hair thickness is average compared to what I can achieve through home remedies.  Moreover, I wonder how any treatment will work on the hair when the product stays for just 20 minutes on the scalp.  I even started massaging it on the scalp and leaving it overnight, but still I haven’t seen any significant result. In fact, I could not get sound sleep because of the overpowering scent of oils and it stains the pillows and linen.

However, it is effective in treating itchy, dry/flaky scalp! I can say that it did treat my itchy scalp.  But I have no idea how it treats other major hair concerns as I can see it gives that sticky feel post massage on my scalp and I fear it might accentuate any other issues, I mean it is not suitable for all hair types contrary to its claims.  Overall, I feel it is a highly aromatic yet average oil concoction which might be tricky on different hair types. It is certainly not for people who seriously need treatment for hair fall and weak hair.

It is also a big no for sensitive noses. I cannot even finish off the first bottle due to the scent, which makes me sick rather than calming down my senses.  I am still thinking about how to finish this 38 bucks product and hence I am not sure whether you will like it! Never mind, it is not a necessity; we have many other great options in market folks!

Let’s sum up pros and cons:

Pros of Phyto Paris Phytopolleine Botanical Scalp Treatment:

  • A 100% botanical scalp treatment that claims to treat weak and anemic hair apart from treating thin hair line and hair fall.
  • Formulated with various beneficial oils like cooling cypress oil, sage oil, rosemary oil and lemon peel oil, etc.
  • A little drop goes a long way.
  • Does help in fighting itchy scalp.
  • Easily cleanses off the hair with shampooing.
  • I did not notice any dry, flaky scalp after I started using this treatment.
  • User friendly packaging.

Cons of Phyto Paris Phytopolleine Botanical Scalp Treatment:

  • It proved to be an average oil after 2-3 months of regular use.
  • Contains certain essential oils which are known to cause irritations and might not suit sensitive people.
  • The overpowering scent is a turn off for me and so it would be for most sensitive gals I believe/
  • Works like any other normal oil, no outstanding results so far.
  • My hair is as healthy and thick as before the treatment.

I think I could have tried a more effective oil concoction with pure castor oil-coconut oil-argan oil etc with those 38 bucks and it could have worked wonders on my scalp and hair.  You need not feel disappointed if this scalp treatment is unavailable at your place.. 😛 I will not consider it again.
