Freezing temperatures with gusty winds…that’s the weather report for this week where I stay. I am not enjoying the cold at all and apart from that I am a very concerned mom as kids are taken out for recess in extreme cold temperature as well as cold-rainy days, not just once but twice during the day. I get anxious as my kid forgets to wear her hat, or mitten or zip up her jacket at some point of time or the other :’( I can’t complain as she is just a 6 year old, but I am trying my best to make her remember as its very important to cover-up in sub-zero temperatures. I hope all of you are doing well, I am just trying out new strategies each day so that I can make her remember. 🙁 She had a bad phase of cough last week and still recovering.
Today I am reviewing an anti-frizz shine spray from Pureology. As the winter sets in it invites dull lifeless hair days. Read on if this works.
What it is: Pureology Colour Stylist Radiance Amplifier anti frizz shine spray seals and smoothes hair with intense shine. Now in travel size.
What it does: Concentrated spray amplifies shine and colour with multi-weight lipids.
What else you need to know: Control level: Mild Concentrated spray amplifies shine and colour with multi-weight lipids Camelina extract forms a humidity-resistant barrier, controlling frizz and protecting from environmental damage.
Price and Quantity: $29 for 3.2 Fl. Oz. from salon.
Ingredients: Strengthening Anti-Fade Complex with Keravis Reflective Lipid Extracts: Olive, Coriander and Camelina Oils Natural extracts: Orange Oil Signature Aromatherapy Blend: Vanilla, Rose and Mandarin Oil.
Directions: Hold 10-12 inches from hair and lightly mist 1-2 sprays from mid-lengths to ends. For additional shine, mist into palms and distribute through hair.
Packaging: The radiance amplifier is a liquid that comes in a semi-transparent spray bottle with a protective cap. I personally find the Pureology packaging to be somewhat boring and non-attractive.
My Experience with Pureology Color Stylist Radiance Amplifier:
I was mighty impressed by the Color Fanatic from Pureology, so when I spotted this on the shelf I felt the need to add some shine in my tresses.
The stylist told me not to spray it directly on my hairs because it distributes more product than needed and the end result is sticky hair. I used it on my freshly washed hair just before blow drying and sprayed some amount on my palms, applied it as I would any hair serum. The end result was somewhat ok, I was not able to see any visible differences.
The use of this spray does make tangled hair more manageable and I would like to believe that it protects as well. I have realized that I have been sold to a lot of talk by the stylist, because the Color Fanatic spray does a better job than this so this one was just not needed. I would recommend this to girls who have not colored their hairs as this might be a better choice.
Pros of Pureology Color Stylist Radiance Amplifier:
- Mild scent.
- Detangles very well.
Cons of Pureology Color Stylist Radiance Amplifier:
- Not much visible difference.
IMBB Rating: 3/5.
Will I Repurchase/ Recommend Pureology Color Stylist Radiance Amplifier?
I have this, so I might try something else next time as I have not seen much difference in my hairs after using this. You could try it as a detangling spray and heat protectant.
