How to Reuse Your Makeup

This article is going to be all about foundations, compacts, lipsticks, eye shadows that we bought but the color just doesn’t suit us! We all have stuff that we bought on the SA’s insistence or in the spur of the moment but doesn’t suit us so here are some things you can do rather than throwing it away !

So here are the ways you can reuse the stuff :

Foundations/Concealers

Foundations are one thing we all would either have in a darker shade or a lighter one.

• For shades darker than your skintone:
You can use the foundation/concealer in the contouring areas to give a natural look to you contouring. Here’s how…

Start by applying the dark shade with a foundation/concealer brush(since with it you can target the area of application as required for contouring) on all the areas you would generally do contouring in. Apply your regular foundation on all the areas with any technique you use and then blend both the foundations with a sponge using stippling motion or with a stiplling brush using circular motion.
Also you could mix it up with a little moisturiser and apply it to the side of your legs for a nice chiseled look!

• For shades lighter than your skintone:
Use the same idea as above and apply the lighter shade to all the highlighting areas with a foundation brush and apply your routine shade everywhere else.

You can also use a lighter shade of concealer at your cupid’s bow to make your lip look more fuller and luscious.

What kim kardashian does is that she applies a lighter shade of concealer under her eyes extending upto the cheekbone and blending it outwards. You could make use of your concealer and try this technique ! Here are a few photos in which you can see that.

• Also you could mix the foundation with your primer and use it as an eye shadow base but in case of light/dark you can use the light one in the day dark one in the night.

Compacts

If you got the compact along with a foundation you can put your compact on places you put your foundation as above and the normal compact at other places and blend with a powder brush.
If NOT then you can use the compact independently as a highlighter/bronzer.

Lipsticks

We all have some strange coloured lipsticks that don’t suit us at all.
• You can use the lipstick as a crème blush because they have almost the same consistency or you could make it more smooth by mixing it with a very little amount of moisturiser.

• You can melt the lipstick and add a food color of your choice that you think might change the color to being likeable and pour it in a small box and let it cool. You can generally use raspberry.You can use it with a lipstick brush later.

• Also if you don’t like the scent of the lipstick melt it and add a little vanilla essence and done!

Eyeshadows

Scrape out the eye shadow and mix it with a clear mascara to make it in a gel form. Fill it up in a small box and use it as an eyeliner !
