Hi everybody,
I don’t know who said that “there’s no such thing as too many lipsticks” or when they said it, but there’s one thing I can – that they weren’t lying. I think lipstick is one makeup product that I am literally obsessed with and I’m not even shy to admit it. I love lipsticks! And I just can’t resist myself from buying certain shades. N*de lip shades are one of them. I feel like even though half of the n*de lip shades out there look the same and that they’re basically all the same – they’re basic n*des, I can’t seem to stop myself from buying a good n*de lipstick when I come across one. So, a little while ago, I came across Revlon Ultra Matte lip shades and one shade that caught my attention was “Camilia.”
It is a grey-toned n*de lipstick. It has cool undertones and hints of grey and is actually nothing like the lipsticks I’ve owned in the past. So, I gave it a shot and bought it. Read on to know how it fared for me.

My Experience with Revlon Camilia Ultra HD Lipstick:
Packaging: This Revlon HD Ultra Matte lipstick comes in a nice metallic packaging. This lipstick is by far the only Revlon lipstick whose packaging I personally like. The bullet is metallic and it comes with a clear plastic cap. The bullet however easily gets finger impressions and dust settles on it easily. The packaging on the whole is sturdy, travel friendly and beautiful to look at.
Shade: The shade “Camilia” is a brown-toned n*de shade. It definitely contains hints of grey. It is very much a cool-toned lipstick and has no warmth. If you have cool complexion, this lipstick can look wonderful on you. On the other hand, if you have warm complexion, this lipstick might not look as good on you. Camilia is a tricky shade to pull off. I have pigmented lips and it looks rather grey on me. To get the true colour of this lipstick, it is important to apply a warm-toned lip liner underneath it. I won’t say it’s an MLBB shade for me as the undertones of this lipstick don’t suit my skin tone that well.
Texture and Pigmentation: The texture of these Revlon HD ultra matte lipsticks is their texture. Despite being matte lipsticks, they are extremely smooth and creamy in texture. These are one of the best texture lipsticks I have ever used. This lipstick never makes my lips dry. It glides on to the lips effortlessly. It doesn’t feather/smudge, nor does it accentuate or settle into the fine lines on lips.
It doesn’t look patchy or flaky when I put it on. It is not a pure matte lipstick but I like its texture the way it is. It is a fairly pigmented lipstick. It needs two swipes if I’m wearing it over a lip liner. Otherwise three to four swipes are required since the pigmentation of this shade in particular is average and I have pigmented lips as it is. This lipstick stays on me for around 4+ hours, which is okay in my opinion.
Pros of Revlon Camilia Ultra HD Lipstick:
- Travel friendly and sturdy packaging.
- The texture is super smooth and creamy.
- It doesn’t dry out the lips or make the lips look patchy or flaky.
Cons of Revlon Camilia Ultra HD Lipstick:
- Costly for a drugstore lipstick. It comes for about INR 1100.
- This shade doesn’t look that good on me, so that’s a con for me.
- A tricky shade to pull off. If you don’t balance the rest of your makeup well with this one, this lipstick might not look that flattering on you
- Average staying power.
- Pigmentation is not as good as I would have liked it to be.
