Today, I am going to review my favourite lipstick from my favourite brand “Revlon.” From the Revlon Moisture Stay Lip Color, I am going to review the shade Wine (45). This is hands-down one of my favourite lipsticks that I use for special occasions and every time I wear this, at least one person comes up to me and asks me which colour I am wearing.
Rs. 675 for 1.7 gm.
The review of this product is done very beautifully in a detailed manner by our lovely Nupur here, so I won’t go into that and the website does not have any information on this as it has been discontinued internationally but is still available in India (yayyy for India and thank God!!!!). :worship: :victory2:
Packaging-wise, it comes in a pretty, shiny golden case with the name of the shade on one end of the case. This is a brick red shade (don’t worry, not the mummy type :giggle: ), but nude-makeup-uptight-hairdo-and-bold-lipstick kind of shade.
On application, it looks a little glossy and the colour stays on for a good 6 hours on me. Even when the colour fades, it leaves behind a hint of its presence which I love, so I don’t really bother with touch-ups when I am wearing this shade.
It glides like a dream, does not bleed, and it feels cool and fresh on application (like eating Polo :joker: ). This colour will suit every skin type, light to dusky. This is the perfect lipstick for the winters, it will not make your lips dry.
1 swipe and 2 swipes respectively, in natural light, without flash.
Swatch with flash.
Pros of Revlon Moisture Stay Lip Color Wine:
- Stays long (around 6 hours).
- Does not bleed.
- Great colour range.
- Does not dry out the lips.
- The lipstick will last you long enough.
Cons of Revlon Moisture Stay Lip Color Wine:
- Some might find it pricey, but trust me, its totally worth it.
- I personally feel every girl should have at least one colour from this range. I hope they never discontinue it in India.
Will I Repurchase Revlon Moisture Stay Lip Color Wine?
I will definitely go and get more shade from this range.
