My Experience with Sugar Cosmetics It’s Pout Time Lipsticks
Sugar Cosmetics has launched these new range of lipsticks in their collection. They already have set of 4 lipsticks called Matte as Hell. While I was still obsessing over the matte crayons and these came in with a bang.

It’s A-Pout Time Lipsticks come in 4 gorgeous shades

  • 01. The Big Bang Berry : it’s a stunning plum wine shade. I notice that in some lightings it looks like a plum shade and in some lights it looks deep berry wine color. It’s a stunning shade for medium to dusky skin tones. But if you are a fond of wearing dark lip, totally go for it.
  • 02. Breaking Bare : A soft mauve n*de shade. If you still haven’t find your perfect MLBB shade, this could be your color. It is a universally flattering shade. on lighter skin tones it can look a bit deeper shade of mauve and for medium dusky skin tones this could be your perfect everyday color.
  • 03. Mad Magenta : true to its name a stunning magenta pink color. It is that Indian wedding party perfection color. It is a very flattering shade of pink and can work for all skin tones. Not for the weak-hearted though. but because of the texture of these lipsticks you can wear this as a long lasting stain as well.
  • 04. Coraline in the City : A gorgeous true orange color. it is very bright shade. If you are not used to of  bright lip colors, this may not be for you.

These are creamy matte lipsticks but they settle down to a true matte lip colors. They are not powdery mattes so I find them more forgiving. They do not accentuate fine lines on lips and you can get away with these even on non perfect lip days. They glide on easily, do not settle in fine lines. I found that they smudge a bit around the edges so I have to wear a lip liner especially around the edges of my mouth. They are extremely comfortable to wear and they do not dry out the lips.

These are extremely pigmented lipsticks. One swipe and you get a full on color on lips. You don’t need to wear a lip liner underneath even if you have pigmented lips.

These are long lasting lipsticks. All of them have stayed on my lips for more than 6 hours and have left a stain behind. Plus they survive full meals. I have worn them all during the day and also to a party. Did not fail at all. 🙂 You can also pat these lipsticks on lips and use as a long lasting stain.

I like the all matte black packaging. The best part is that when you twist the bullet down, it twists down to a satisfying click. Then you can put the cap back on. The names of the lipsticks are printed on the side. However, I do wish that one end of the lipstick were coloured. It would have made storing them easier.

I,however, do have an issue with the cylindrical shape of the lipstick. With someone like me who has ‘tiny’ lips, I always have to use a lip brush with these to apply the lipstick on the sides of my mouth. The sharp sides of the lipstick gets a little blunt after 1-2 usages and then you are left with a blunt edge to get to the sides.I haven’t worn this lipstick without the help of a brush even once.

These transfer very little. Have a faint barely noticeable scent and no taste to them. These are also free of any mineral oils and parabens.

Overall, I LOVVVE these lipsticks. It feels these days I am only wearing Sugar lipsticks. I am mixing and matching the colors, mixing the textures or just wearing them on their own. Obsessed! 🙂 Highly recommend these lipsticks. Although these are available in just 4 colors but there is something for everyone. I really hope they add more shades to the range.

  1. Mad Magenta for me. 😀 Though I do have Coraline in the City but I am going get that one too. These two are such bright and happy shades. 😀 And you look beautiful in all of them. 🙂

  2. Hey you beautiful you! I love the berry color on you so much! BTW – would you recommend these lipsticks over the crayons? Or should I get the crayons – I was planning to get Poison Ivy.

    1. crayons are super matte- like powdery matte. These are more forgiving and you don’t need perfectly prepped lips to pull them off. But both a good. Depends on what you prefer. 🙂

  3. All the shades are super gorgeous. You look amazing. I am at a ‘finger cross’ situation for that breaking bare. I love this shade.. But your swatches are too good that I want all shades now 😛 😛

  4. Gorgeous shades, not even a single is meh. I would like to get all the shades, though I would pick berry and barely there on priority 😛 looking at your awesome swatches Rati 🙂

  5. Wow, this brand has such amazing products! I quite like their crayons and am sure gonna love these lipsticks too. I love how all the shades are so wearable and flattering. You look gorgeous and you are gonna make these sell like hot cakes, again. 🙂

    1. i agree shikhs. i love their crayons as well. loving these too. these colors are very much in synch with indian skin tones esp. :-* i couldnt help it. love them. :))

  6. Mad Magenta and coraline in the city are definitely for me… gorgeous bright and summery 🙂 Matte lipsticks with forgiving texture and 6hours wear time is totally a steal..Loved your lovely pout 🙂

  7. Hey I’m in a fix! I want to pick a wine shade from this brand. Which one should I choose poison ivy or Big Bang berry? Are they both the same shade?

By the way all the shades are super gorgeous. I would pick all mad magenta and Big Bang berry(may be)

  8. Hi Rati,

I have a medium to dusky skin with yellow undertones, would you suggest Breaking bare or Holly Golightly for a nice nude? Please suggest 🙂
Also would the Coraline in the city suit my kind of skin tone? thanks
