My Experience with The Body Shop Smoky Poppy Body Butter:
Packaging: The first thing that attracted me was the beautiful black packaging with a stunning red poppy flower. Though it sounds absurd to call a packaging sensuous, that’s exactly what this little round tub looks like – alluring and mysterious. The tub itself is similar to other Body Shop body butter tubs in terms of its structure. Though they look cute, I am not a fan of the tubs as you need to dip your fingers in order to take out the product and I hate it when the product gets under my nails 🙁
Fragrance: When I first sniffed this fragrance, I was extremely pleased to find that the fragrance lives up to all the intrigue which the packaging builds. It is a strong musky kind of fragrance which is not at all floral or fruity. In fact, it leans more towards a masculine fragrance. I for sure do not own anything that smells like this and I am absolutely loving it. The smell stays on me for around 4 hours. A word of caution – I would suggest you to try it out before buying as it might not be everyone’s cup of tea.
Formula/Performance: The consistency of the body butter is amazing. It is very soft and absorbs into the skin instantly. It hydrates my skin very well and leaves it smooth as silk. It does not make my skin greasy after a while (as some other body butters do). The place where I stay still has pretty low temperatures and this body butter is serving me well. It might not be a good idea to use it in summers though. I might shift to the body lotion from the same range then.
To summarize, this is an awesome body butter which is going to make you feel satiny smooth and smell sexy. Do I need to say more?
