Hello beautiful ladies,

I bought two body creams from The Body Shop Spa of the World range since I could not decide which would suit me better and both of them were equally tempting. I have already reviewed the other variant – TBS Spa of the World Hawaiian Kukui Cream and today, I am reviewing the “Japanese Camellia” cream. TBS Japanese Camellia cream is a soft textured cream, please continue reading for more details and to know which of the two creams suited me the best and which one I have decided to repurchase 🙂

The Body Shop Spa of the World Japanese Camellia Cream

Product Description:
Camellia oil has been used by Japanese women since the 8th century to gently soften and moisturise the skin. The exquisite scent of this pure and elegant flower allows mind and body to reconnect with a moment of profound peace. Use this rich body cream with a light, velvety texture as part of our relaxing ritual when you’re in need of a fast track to tranquillity. Our community fair trade shea butter is sourced from northern Ghana, where it has been used for centuries to protect skin from harsh Saharan winds.

My Experience with The Body Shop Spa of the World Japanese Camellia Cream:

I picked up two body creams from the TBS “Spa of the World” range. I use the Hawaiian Kukui cream on my hands and arms after my morning shower on a regular basis and Japanese Camellia cream on weekends and holidays or after my evening shower since it relaxes both body and mind. Combination of two key ingredients – shea butter and camellia oil attracted me to buy this product.

The Body Shop Spa of the World Japanese Camellia Cream

This is a rich cream with an exquisite flower fragrance. It has an aromatic fragrance and velvety texture that feels soft to touch. It gets absorbed easily and relaxes body and mind. I use it after my evening showers or on weekends and holidays and it thoroughly relaxes my body and mind and moisturises and nourishes my skin.

The Body Shop Spa of the World Japanese Camellia Cream

It is not oily, creamy or sticky, gets absorbed and gives a smooth finish to the skin. Benefits of camellia oil and shea butter are known to most of us. Camellia oil is known for keeping skin soft and supple, has antioxidants, anti-ageing and anti-microbial properties, and many more benefits. Shea butter helps in maintaining oil balance in the skin, moisturises and nourishes the skin, protects and helps maintain a healthy, hassle-free skin. I have tried some TBS body butters previously and have liked the Africa Spa Wisdom Body Care collection. Among the recent purchases, I love the body shop spa of the world hawaiian kukui cream.

The Body Shop Spa of the World Japanese Camellia Cream

Pros of The Body Shop Spa of the World Japanese Camellia Cream:

  • Velvet textured moisturising body cream.
  • Makes skin feel beautifully hydrated.
  • Has an aromatic floral fragrance.
  • Relaxes body and mind with camellia oil from Japan.

Cons of The Body Shop Spa of the World Japanese Camellia Cream:

  • Price is costly compared to other body butters from TBS.
  • Aromatic floral scent is slightly strong, but not at all over the top.

Would I Recommend The Body Shop Spa of the World Japanese Camellia Cream?

Yes, if you are looking for a soft and nourishing body cream with an aromatic floral fragrance to relax your body and mind, this one is for you.

Chances of Repurchasing The Body Shop Spa of the World Body Creams:

Out of the two creams, my vote goes to TBS Hawaiian Kukui cream, will surely repurchase. The body shop spa of the world japanese camellia cream is equally good, but I personally prefer the hawaian kukui cream and since I am using the japanese camellia cream only on weekends and holidays, it might last for a very long time, may or may not repurchase.
