The Body Shop White Musk Sport Hair and Body Wash and The Body Shop Moisture White Shiso Cleansing Powder
Ying n Yang, Sharukh Khan and Kajol, Amitabh Bachhan and Rekha, Laloo Yadav and Rabri Devi, Wall-E and Eve, Poutmati and Eno Kumar, bonnie and clyde…, all the interesting things come in twos. :p Here is one more jodi that you should embrace whole-heartedly- The Body Shop White Musk Sport Hair and Body Wash, and The Body Shop Moisture White Shiso Cleansing Powder.
I had written a brief review about the Moisture White Shiso Cleansing Powder in one of the post. The review ran something like this-
Hmm..I can vouch for one product mentioned over here that Rati gave to me and I have been using it ever since; it is the cleansing powder. It is so amazing that I will purchase it, no matter what the price, once this one which the PR sent is over. It is lot better than my regular soap; the powder is extremely soft without any grittiness. The moment you apply it on your face with water it becomes a gentle creamy paste. you can keep rubbing your face with it and it produces no irritation, stickiness, or grating feeling. It’s a soft butter-like paste. Once you wash it off, the skin on the face feels very youthful and springy. There is no tautness in the skin as I often feel after applying soap. The skin is soft and moisturized. It also looks a lot fairer than what it looks when I apply my normal soap.
Rati knows I am addicted to the product.

Now it would be hard to add to what I already wrote about The Body Shop Moisture White Shiso Cleansing Powder. But one of the IMBB readers asked if my perception of ‘fair skin’ was real or illusory. At that time I did not have an answer. Fortunately, I have it now, after using the product along with its spouse- The Body Shop White Musk Sport Hair and Body Wash.
And I shall come to the answer later. First a brief introduction about myself-
Before coming to Delhi I grew up and spent all my childhood/ adolescent years in a very small town in eastern Uttar Pradesh. I had a middle class family (No money with me Jomol 🙁 ) and thereby the only thing I ever did for skin or body was using a soap or a shampoo. Sometimes the soap was as bad as a bar of Lifebuoy. We even had a single towel at home to be used by everyone. So all of you can imagine how aware we were about skin care or hair care or any stuff related to beauty. And I have not changed much throughout these years. My shampoo is still Head & Shoulders which I started using during my school days. And I never liked putting any stuff on my body except soap. In short, I am a philistine where skin care is concerned. Needless to add that my skin is quite good, acne free and smooth. Life is quite unfair that way.
I had tried many face washes in the past but they left me with such a ‘greasy’ feeling afterwards that I quit them immediately. Also, I looked darker than my normal wheatish complexion. My under eyes looked darker than usual and it felt that I was not coming out of a bath but after getting clubbed in a boxing match. I am fairly fairer than an average person around. And when I start looking so dark-skinned that you cannot notice me in a dark room until I smile, then there’s a problem. Naturally, I stuck to soap and a shampoo.
I recently added these two products to my bathing inventory on Rati’s insistence. The Body Shop Moisture White Shiso Cleansing Powder was sent to us by PR (and thereby I am expected to write a bad review about it because some people think that an ‘honest’ review is the one which is full of negatives) and I am extremely grateful to them for introducing this product. As I said before, the powder just melts into your palms once you apply a few drops of water and rub your palms together. It turns into a cream which you can apply on your face. And once you wash it off, the skin feels smoother, softer and fairer. Yes, I have no illusions about the fairness because its spouse- The Body Shop White Musk Sport Hair and Body Wash- make me look a little darker.
Rati bought The Body Shop White Musk Sport Hair and Body Wash because of the smell. It smells amazinggggg! If any of the guys is reading this, let me tell you something- every time I come out of the shower my wife keeps telling me that I smell effing good. And umm… you can never get used to hearing that everyday can you? 🙂
So ummm… on Rati’s insistence I started using The Body Shop White Musk Sport Hair and Body Wash. The best way to use it is with a loofah. Wet your skin under shower or bath, add a small quantity on a loofah, and then start rubbing it on your body. it gives a good amount of foam if you keep dipping the loofah in a small tub of water, not so much that it washes away. Do not apply it on your neck or face. As I said earlier it made me look a little dark. So I used The Body Shop Moisture White Shiso Cleansing Powder on my neck and face. Also since The Body Shop Moisture White Shiso Cleansing Powder is a little costlier you would perhaps not want to use it all over your body. This is an amazing combination of two products. Both of them are equally amazing and they complement each other very well. One makes you smell amazing and the other makes your skin look quite smooth.
Price:
The Body Shop White Musk Sport Hair and Body Wash: Rs. 595
The Body Shop Moisture White Shiso Cleansing Powder: Rs 1195
I would leave the rating to you guys. As for me, any product which makes me receive compliements from my wife daily gets 6 out of 5. And yes, I would buy both these two again and again and again… 🙂
IS THIS SANJEEV AGAIN DOING THE REVIEW….?
I KNW u are absolutely smitten with the cleansing powder……but is it only fr males….and hw about fr oily skinned people….? ?:-)
oh no it’s for everyone. Just that he loves it so much that I don’t get to use it. 😛
Shilpa, I don’t think so. But the foaming facial wash of this range is for people with oily skin.
Yep, changed the author’s name. 🙂
Sanjeev….loved your review…eventhough it was not “honest” enough :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Hmm…. maybe I should deduct some points because they don’t give free beer with it?
Yes you could…but you shouldnt say that openly…maybe say..this was a big waste of money and that you could make it at home yourself if you got some fair and lovely talcum powder…but if TBS adds beer to the ingredient list, the product might get better…
Errr… I was not exactly talking about beer in the ingredients you know… the products are great as it is and a beer is better served in a can. 😀 😀
Eno KUmar is such an alcoholic :liquor: :liquor: :liquor: :liquor: :liquor: :liquor: :liquor: :liquor: :liquor: :liquor: :liquor: ….we should send him to rehab…..

not happy with the review…..not convincing enough!
Err… I thought reviews were just an expression about how one feels about a product he/she is using and not a sales pitch to convince someone.
Was a refreshing read Sanjev Bhai..Wish I had read it before going to TBS today with your wifey..Well..On second thoughts, that gives me an excuse to go again 😉 So..no regrets.
Thanks 🙂 Do smell White Musk Sport Hair and Body Wash when you go there. 🙂
well…um your right but i just didnt feel you wrote well. 😐 it just should have been a little more organized .please dont mind, but thats how i feel. you actually told me what not to write. thank you. 🙂
*shrug* Grit your teeth in that case. I am going to write many more reviews. 😀
See now this is why I am not good at blogging. I come to your site and read your reviews and all I get out of it is whether the product is good or not. I never realized I could learn how not to write…or to write from your blog. But then again, I was under the impression that to learn to write I should be paying more attention to my English classes.. :giggle: :giggle: :giggle: :giggle: Sanjeeeev..could you please teach me how not to write..I write really good comments..and now I want to learn how not to write that way… :giggle: :giggle: :giggle: :giggle:
Oh it’s easy to learn how not to write Rads…. write a long comment and then remove all the gossip, scandals, x-rated, positive or humorous stuff. 😀
Baaaaaaahh..that would be so boring…yup..its right..I learn how not to write from you 😀 😀
😕 hey i dont mean to hurt you or insult you or fight you or someting! and yes you should write more revieews…i never said you shouldnt! infact i would love to read yours! but yes i do like direct revies like always rati writes! :idk: :waiting:
