My Experience with The Face Shop Orange Scene Watery Tint:
Let’s begin with packaging of the product as it is super cute. This range of lip tints is from The Face Shop’s Kakao Friends Collection. This lip tint comes in a transparent cylindrical plastic tube.
There are six gorgeous shades in this range, each bearing a Kakao friend character printed on it. The shade I am reviewing today is “Orange Scene” and the tube has a cute Muzi printed on it along with the brand’s tagline and other details. The shade name is printed on the base of the tube and at its back as well. The tube closes with a white screw-on type cap that fits tightly making the packaging travel friendly. The soft, oval-shaped applicator is attached to the cap. Overall, the packaging is cute and travel friendly.
“Orange Scene” is a warm-toned reddish orange color. The shade is gorgeous for fairer skin tones. It instantly brightens up dull face. As this is a lip tint, it has sheer pigmentation and requires at least two swipes for the color to show up on the lips properly. Though it looks really pretty on the lips, but being a lip tint, it is not capable of concealing pigmented lips. There is no sheen or shimmer in this and it almost settles down to a soft, matte finish. It has a very faint fragrance, which is not even noticeable, but the it has this sweet taste which I personally dislike.
The formula is actually very watery. It’s basically a tint in a liquid form. So, I need to be extra careful while applying it on my lips as it bleeds very easily. From the label itself, it’s created mainly for the lips as a lip tint, but I thought why not try this as a cheek tint also. I applied it on my cheeks and I was so amazed to see how beautiful and natural it looked on my skin.
It blended into the skin within seconds giving a gorgeous flush of color to my cheeks. I totally love this as a lip tint and cheek tint. I love this product for everyday use. It dries up pretty quickly and it’s normal for tint to dry fast. So, you better blend it with your fingers quickly after application. It feels really light on the lips, but it has slight sticky feel whenever I purse my lips. Also, the formula is not moisturizing at all, which is kind of disappointing from such a gorgeous product. It is transfer proof and waterproof.
The lasting power of this lip tint is somewhere around 3-4 hours on my lips with little snacking in between, which is appreciable for a lip tint. It can be taken off easily using a regular makeup remover or wipes. It gets removed easily and does not leave any stain behind.
