Hi All,
A week ago we conducted our ‘What are your top 5 favorite lipsticks?‘ survey. As the survey submissions started pouring in, we got a little disheartened that we would not have any clear cut winner. That doubt has been put to rest now, as we have some interesting results for you all. Removing some invalid responses such as “I know you are going to sell this survey to companies” or the ones containing only colors, we had 103 valid entries to our survey. After collecting all the responses from these entries (some filled only one or two), we had total of 381 responses. We have summarized the data for you in the table below:
So the three contenders at the top are Maybelline with 58 votes, Revlon with 56 votes, and MAC with 50 votes. Lakme at 4th place was not a surprise. Avon at 5th place was. Seems the brand is popular with many. If you see the chart below, you will see that top 5 brands have captured nearly 61% of the survey, with Maybelline and Revlon taking 30%!
Among these top two brands, Maybelline Colorsensational lipsticks were the most popular with 15 votes and Revlon Colorburst lipsticks were the next popular choices with 10 votes!

Wow this is very interesting !! I didn’t take part in the survey because i don’t wear lipstick, but i was waiting for the results, this is very very interesting !!
I’m hearing some brands for the first time -Faces ? Sleek? Boots ? Almay ? Diana? Ramble ???? Yeh sab kya hai ….
Its really sad that people comment things like, I know you are going to sell this survey to companies, i think they should come here more often to learn what IMBB is really about, not a money making scheme, but an extremely informative source for people and mainly, for people.

Smita, all these useless comments have become a part of our lives. Initially it used to make us sad but now we have a magical “delete” button to remove these. 😉 All is well. he he we were so happy with the responses. I was so curious to see the results. 😛 😛

I can’t say that I’m surprised by the top 3. I mentioned only 3 lippies, but 2 of those were Maybelline. This was a really interesting survey. Can’t wait for upcoming ones. Great idea Rati & Sanjeev!
