Hello everyone,
This review will be on the Urban Decay Naked Flushed Palette in the shade “Native.”
Product Description:
Bronze. Glow. Blush. Get Naked and Flushed in no time with our hot (and highly coveted) threesome. Go ahead…get Naked and Flushed with our silky bronzer, highlighter and blush. These shades diffuse light as they enhance and perfect, giving your skin a fresh, glow-y look, even when your late-night antics have you feeling otherwise. But how you get Naked is up to you. Use these silky pressed powders individually or blend them together to create just the right effect and let this seemingly straight-laced trio morph into a tangled color love fest. Then bask in the radiant glow and let people wonder what you’ve been up to. Our micronized, jet-milled formula has a luxe, feather-light texture that feels amazing on your skin. The shades are intensely pigmented, yet they blend beautifully. And the finish?Flawless.
Price:
$32 but I got it for $15 during a Sephora sale.
My Experience with Urban Decay Native Naked Flushed Palette:
Packaging: I do like the travel-friendly compact case which has a nice sized mirror and 3 shades – a bronzer, highlight and blush – all in one for ease of use. The case closes with a magnetic snap. The products in this case are a bit powdery and kick up some powder when you dip your brush in, which could be a con, as it can lead to the powder muddling up the product next to it, but that can be avoided by simply brushing off the excess powder from the pan after use.
Texture: These powders are smooth and easy to use and apply. The powders are more powdery and less silky, but regardless, they do blend easily without being streaky or patchy. They build on easily and I find that these will be very beginner friendly too. They do not accentuate or stick onto my dry patches.
The shade trio of “Native” consists of a bronzer, highlighter, and a blush.
Bronzer: This is a medium brown bronzer with a satin-matte finish. It pulls more of a warm orange undertone hence it is not the best to use for contouring, but it works well to bronze up the complexion and give it some definition along with some subtle contouring.
Highlight: This is a light peachy pink highlight with a silvery frost finish. It is a very intense highlight and is very pigmented, hence a little goes a long way. The shimmer particles are very fine, but they are visible under direct sunlight and are not chunky.
Blush: This is a cool-toned blue-based bright matte pink blush. This color is very flattering on my light to medium skin tone and perks up the complexion and makes it look youthful. It is not very strongly pigmented which is a good thing as you don’t have to worry about clown cheeks with this color, but the color is easy in the way that it can be used to build to the intensity you like.
Staying Power: These powders wear very well throughout the day and I start to notice slight fading after around 6-7 hours.
Overall, this is a great all-in-one palette with a trio that’s easy to work with really flattering shades. Because I got this during a sale, I think this was a real steal. I will recommend this 🙂
