You will need a clear jar (or cup) and your urine for this test. Collect your urine in a clean jar first thing in the morning. Then leave it untouched for about 3-4 hours. If a thin white layer has formed at the top of the urine, then it means you are pregnant and if there is no change, then you are not pregnant.

2. Wheat and Barley Test:

It is an old wives’ tale which originated in ancient Egypt and now it is known to yield 70% accurate results. To do this, a woman needs to urinate on wheat and barley seeds over the course of several days. If the wheat sprouts, she is to have a baby girl, and if the barley sprouts, a boy. You will need white toothpaste, a container, and your first urine of the morning to do this test. Just take some white tooth paste and add the urine sample to it in a container. Wait five to ten minutes. If it changes colour or begins to froth, you probably are pregnant.

4. Bleach Test:

Use plain bleach for this test, not use scented or chlorine-free bleach. To do this, collect the first urine of the day and add some bleaching powder to it. Wait three to five minutes. If the urine starts fizzing and foaming, there is a good chance you may be pregnant. The test comes out negative if there is no reaction or very little fizzing.

5. Mustard Powder Test:

Mustard powder is considered to be a period inducer. So, if you have missed your period or it is delayed then soak in a bath prepared with 2 cups of mustard powder followed by a warm shower. If you get your period after this in a day or two, then you might not be pregnant, but 2 weeks after this test, if there is still no sign of your period, you are most likely pregnant.

Sugar is a good way to test the hCG in your urine and confirm your pregnancy. To do this, collect your urine in a container and add 3 tsp of white sugar to it. Wait five to ten minutes. If the sugar clumps together or does not dissolve, then you might be pregnant and of it dissolves then you are not pregnant.

7. White Vinegar Test:

Collect your urine in a clean jar first thing in the morning. Add half a cup of distilled white vinegar to it. Wait three to five minutes. If it changes colour, then you may be pregnant.

8. Dandelion Leaves Test:

Collect two to three dandelion leaves and place them in a clean container. Pour some of your urine over the dandelion leaves. Wait for 10-15 minutes. Positive Result would show red spots or red blisters appear on the surface of the leaves and negative result will show no change.
