As I have already mentioned in my earlier posts, I have been loving glossy lips lately. Not only the n*de gloss but also the bold and bright ones. Generally, I tend to use brighter ones to change the undertones of the n*de lipsticks or I prefer wearing them alone. The gloss I will be reviewing today is YSL Gloss Volupte in 49 Terriblement Fuchsia.
Price:
$32
Product Description:
What it is: A made-to-measure customizable lip gloss that provides extreme shine, luxurious hydration, and radiant color.
What it does: Get unbelievable shine without the stickiness. Inspired by a kiss, Gloss Volupté provides up to ten times more shine than a classic gloss. The unique applicator is shaped like a kiss and allows for even application over fuller or finer lips. Mix and match the three top coats to the glosses to achieve different looks and effects from subtle to sultry.
My Experience with Yves Saint Laurent 49 Terriblement Fuchsia Gloss:
YSL Gloss Volupte comes housed in a transparent tube with a golden twist up cap and a silver rim with YSL logo engraved on it. The packaging feels and looks very luxe like any other product from YSL. The applicator is a standard YSL applicator, where there is a split in the middle and the gloss gets deposited in that area. The applicator has a very unique shape that sits perfectly on the lips and offers even distribution of product on the lips.
“Terriblement Fuchsia” is a bold and bright, cool-toned pink shade with purple undertones. It also has some beautiful shimmer particles which do not show up on the lips.
The formulation on YSL gloss is absolutely gorgeous. It’s non-sticky, not thick, and offers moderate pigmentation.
The gloss applicator distributes the right amount of product on the lips. It offers a wet, mirror-like finish on the lips, which looks absolutely stunning.
The gloss has the same watermelon scent that all other YSL lip products have.
This gloss feels very hydrating and comfortable on the lips. It makes my lips look plump and juicy. Since it’s moderately pigmented, it can be worn alone or can be applied over a lipstick to add a bit of dimension to it. YSL glosses also last pretty well on my lips, I get 3 to 4 hours of wear time.
