Bath and Body Works Morocco Orchid and Pink Amber Shower Gel Review

Hello all,

I am back with a review of a shower gel from Bath and Body works – the Morocco Orchid and Pink Amber Shower Gel. This fragrance was launched as a part of their “World Garden” collection last year. I have already reviewed another shower gel from this collection – The London Tulips and Raspberry Tea Shower Gel. Read on to find out how this one fared.

My Experience with Bath and Body Works Morocco Orchid and Pink Amber Shower Gel:

Packaging:  This shower gel comes in a sturdy plastic bottle with a golden press cap. The bottle has a slight bluish tint but is transparent. This helps to display how much product is remaining. The packaging looks quite bright and attractive because of the hot pink and purple flowers on it. Overall, the packaging looks quite luxurious. The press cap helps to dispense only the required quantity of the product. The shower gel itself is a light blue color.

Formula/Performance:  The consistency of the shower gel is not too thick and it lathers up very well (especially with a loofah). Hence, a small amount goes a long way.  It cleans quite thoroughly. Also, it rinses off easily and does not leave behind any residues. The shower gel does not dry me out and the Shea butter and Vitamin E help in retaining moisture in the skin.

Fragrance:  This is a very sweet-smelling shower gel – a mix of jasmine, orchid and vanilla are the scents that I could identify. You will like it if you like floral fragrances, but it is not a very unique fragrance and it also smells a little synthetic. The smell is not long lasting and continues to linger on my body for an hour before fading out. I also possess a body lotion from the same fragrance line and obviously the smell lasts longer if I follow up with the lotion after the bath.

Pros of Bath and Body Works Morocco Orchid and Pink Amber Shower Gel:

  • Cleans well leaving your skin refreshed.
  • Does not dry out the skin due to the presence of Shea butter and Vitamin E.
  • Attractive and sturdy packaging.
  • Lathers well and will last long as not much product is needed.

Cons of Bath and Body Works Morocco Orchid and Pink Amber Shower Gel:

  • Not all might like the strong sweet fragrance.
  • Contains SLS.
