Faces Lip Contour in Tangy Pop Review

Faces cosmetics is surely making all of us happy with their new bunch of products that they have launched this summer. I am more of a lip product person, and I feel extremely happy whenever I spot a new lip product at the stores. A few days back on a quick trip to the cosmetic store, I found these new launched Faces lip pencils. I have previously used Faces lip pencils and was thoroughly impressed by them, so without wasting time, I got my hands on these new launches lip pencils, thinking that they cannot go wrong.

Faces has launched 6 shades in these lip pencils- Pink petal, coral pink, plum kiss, caffe latte, red hottie and tangy pop. And I will be reviewing the shade Tangy Pop today.

Faces Lip Contour is a perfectly textured lip pencil designed to outline, define, and enhance the natural shape of the lip.

My experience with Faces Lip Contour in Tangy Pop:

Faces Lip Pencil comes in a sleek wooden packaging. The pencil body corresponds to the shade of the lip pencil, making it easy to spot it in your makeup stash. Unlike the old Faces lip pencils that came in an all black packaging- these come in a bright, colorful body with a transparent cap to it. This non-retractable pencil can easily be sharpened using any sharpner, as the girth of the pencil is that of any standard pencil, so you have no worries of getting an additional sharpner meant only for this pencil. The sharpening form of this pencil, makes it hygienic, but a literal pain in case you are travelling and the tip breaks/gets blunt, and you are not carrying your sharpener along with you. The shade name is mentioned on the pencil itself along with the manufacturing and expiry dates.

Tangy Pop is a lovely bright orange lip pencil with absolutely no shimmer. It is a super bright color- perfect for summer. For me, it serves more as a lip color than a lip liner. I like to use it on my entire lips rather than just lining at the border of the lips.

The texture of this lip liner is smooth enough to glide on the lips easily. You don’t feel that pulling and tugging that you normally face on using a lip pencil on your lips. Since the texture is totally matte,you need to prep your lips thoroughly before you have this on your lips, in case you plan to wear it as itself. Pigmentation of Tangy Pop is good, one swipe does give good amount of color, and you need not press the pencil hard on the lips for the color to spread.

This lip liner lasts for 4-5 hours by itself but gives a dry look to the lips, so a coat of lip balm or lip gloss on top of it would make it look better. If worn under a lipstick- it increases the wear time of it by 3-4 hours and prevents any bleeding of the lipstick.

Overall, Faces Lip Contour Lip Pencil in the shade Tangy Pop is a lovely bright orange lip pencil with no shimmer, that can be worn by itself or under a bright orange lipstick to increase the wear time of the lipstick and prevent it from bleeding. It is an affordable, wooden lip pencil that does an amazing job, so do try, I’m sure you will love it!!!
