Faces Sparkle Dust – Frolic

Faces Sparkle Dust – Frolic

Hello Beautiful Ladies,

Today, I will be writing about some eye pigments from the brand Faces. Many years back, Faces came up with their set of pigments each containing 5 colored pigments stacked together. I always saw they but never brought them as I was not very comfortable with pigments. They after trying NYX pigments, I thought of giving this one a try and so bought the set of pigments called Frolic

Product quantity: 7gm

Price: I bought these around 3 months back for INR 649

Packaging: These pigments come in little square shaped containers stacked over one other where the base of one container acts as the lid of the other. Basically all these 5 pigments are connected to each other. The containers are transparent which makes them convenient to use and makes it look pretty with all the colors. The packaging is sturdy and the containers seem to be made of decent quality acrylic.

Ingredients: Mentioned on the plastic sheet that comes wrapped around the stack of containers.

My take on Faces Sparkle Dust – Frolic

I loved the concept of these stacks, as it makes it easier to try a bunch of different colors without spending much. All the colors in this group contain minute sparkle particles (as obvious by the name), which are white, silver or gold. The sparkles are not too chunky and they actually add a beautiful sheen to the eyes without being too obvious.

The 5 colors in the stack include:

1. An iridescent white….which seems to be a white with silver shimmer particles in the container, but actually is a pearly pinky white when swatched. The color is prettiest of all the colors in the stack, but is comparatively less pigmented as compared to all the other colors in the stack. The color can be used as a highlighter color or can also be used all over the lid to get a princess look.

2. A dark pink which contains silver-blue shimmer particles. This is the most pigmented color in the stack and is perfect for parties especially with Indian outfits. The color is easy to layer to get the desired intensity.

3. An iridescent blue, which again contains some silver shimmer particles. This color when blended gives a beautiful gold-green pearly shine which makes it ideal for getting a peacock colored eye makeup

4. Forth color of the stack is a dark red and this is the only one which contains gold shimmer particles. The color is decently pigmented but not as pigmented as the pink. The color can be build by stacking 2-3 layers of shadow

5. The green pigment of the stack resembles a shade of moss green and it also contains silver colored shimmer particles. As far as pigmentation is concerned, this color lies exactly in the center of the 5 colors. It has better pigmentation than red and white but is less pigmented as compared to the pink and the blue.

All the colors in the stack are decently pigmented and they are super easy to blend. The colors can be layered up without making it look bad. But as they are pigments, care has to be taken while applying them in order to avoid fallout. The colors stay for a decent amount of time (around 2-3 hours) without fading after which they fade quite fast. But the colors fade evenly without looking blotchy. The colors might crease a little especially if you have oily lids, but this can be avoided by using a good eyeshadow primer.

Overall this is a good collection of colors at an affordable price range and is especially good for people like me who are starting to get used to pigments.
