To brighten Cheeks:
Apply blush subtil to the apples of the cheeks, lightly sweeping towards the temples.
TIP: Smile to find the apples of your cheeks.

To highlight cheekbones:
Apply blush subtil to the upper cheekbones and around the outer corner of the eye to the brow bones.
TIP: Blend a lighter shade of blush in this area to create a more defined look.

To sculpt cheekbones:
Sweep blush subtil from the top corner of the ear directly under the cheekbones, parallel to the jawline.
TIP: Purse your lips to find the natural contour area beneath the cheekbone.

Packaging:
It comes packaged in a black coloured compact with a mirror and a brush applicator. This elegant compact comes packaged in a silver coloured cardboard box. This travel-friendly compact closes with a click. It feels luxurious to hold. To open, the clip on the front side needs to be pressed.

My Experience with Lancome Sheer Amourose Blush Subtil Delicate Oil-Free Powder Blush:

I had picked two shades from Lancome’s this range of blushes. I have already reviewed Aplum and today I am reviewing Sheer Amourose. It is a soft pink shade and gives sheer coverage to my moderately fair skin with warm undertones. In my opinion, this shade would be more suitable for very fair to pale skin tones. The blush has an oil free and moisture balancing powder formula.

The texture is smooth and silky and it does not feel powdery but feels chalky to touch. The shade is buildable and needs to be blended well to get the desired built up effect. Using a brush, I apply two to three swipes on my cheeks and then blend it using the blush brush. The blush gives a sheer, natural pink glow to my cheeks. The finish is matte and smooth. Several swipes are required to get a build-up effect but need to be careful with the number of swipes.

It is mildly pigmented and the lasting power is around four hours. It does not dry or irritate my sensitive cheeks. It is perfumed and the fragrance is okay with me. This shade can be used for regular wear. Lancome blush subtil is oil free and oil absorbing and I was a bit apprehensive and hesitant to try it but it’s fine with me in this climate.

However, after two days of continuous usage, I had developed two cute pimples below my cheekbones. Well, I will not give the credit to this blush! My skin reacts in funny ways at times. The brush applicator from this compact is totally useless; after each use, it keeps shedding bristles, and don’t know why! This shade is not available in most of the countries and to procure, I had to pay shipment and taxes which is almost 50% of the product price.
