L’Oreal Paris Rouge Caresse Lipstick – Mauve Cherie

It’s been a long time since I have written about a lipstick. I bought L’Oreal Paris Rouge Caresse Lipstick in the Mauve Cherie shade almost 6 months back. And I have wearing it almost everyday. That’s because it is a perfect MLBB shade for me.

What L’Oreal says about their Shine Caresse Lipsticks:

The Rouge Caresse lipstick has a flutter of kissable, soft, colour. Its delicate texture glides onto lips creating a veil of colour with a luminous shine. It adds a desired pop of colour with a meltingly soft application. The lipstick contains light oils, crystalline wax, transparent blenders and pearl pigments that deliver true colour with a weight-less comfort. Available in 10 luminous shades.

My Experience with L’Oreal Paris Rouge Caresse Lipstick – Mauve Cherie:

As the name suggests, Mauve Cherie is a pretty mauve colour with cool undertones. It comes very close to being my MLBB shade. The lipstick comes in a sleek transparent packaging with L’Oreal embossed on a steel plate. The cap locks firmly in place and doesn’t open easily. The shade colour is mentioned at the bottom.

The texture of the lipstick very creamy. It feels very light on the lips just like a good quality tinted lip balm. It keeps the lips soft and moisturized. The pigmentation of the lipstick is not very good. It provides medium coverage even with more swipes. But it gives a gloss finish to the lips. But the lipstick does not bleed at all. And being so creamy it does not settle into fine lines. Even for those with dry chapped lips, this lipstick will work well. I would say it is more of a lip gloss in the stick form rather than a lipstick.

It easily stays for 2-3 hours on me after which it leaves behind a pinkish stain. The lipstick can easily be removed with a makeup remover or even Vaseline.

What I Like About L’Oreal Paris Rouge Caresse Lipstick -Mauve Cherie:

• Very moisturizing and keeps the lips well hydrated.
• Can easily double up as a lip gloss.
• The packaging is sturdy and travel friendly.
• Not too expensive.
• Does not feel heavy at all on the lips.
• Decent staying power of 2-3 hours.

What I Do Not Like About L’Oreal Paris Rouge Caresse Lipstick -Mauve Cherie:

• Pigmentation could have been better.
• Staying power is average.
• The shade may not suit everyone.

Final Verdict: I love this shade for everyday use, since it is like an MLBB for me. But it a light shade. So if you are thinking of getting this one, please do try it on first.
