My experience with Lotus Herbals Hypnotica Pearl Shine Long Lasting Liner – Poppy Blue:

I have always fancied coloured eye liners. As I get addicted to IMBB more, my urge to buy new launches increases day by day. Well I am not an eye makeup freak, but I love to have eye liners and kohls of varied colours. I am yet on a quest to find the best colour for my eyes. Ever since IMBB posted about hypnotica pearl shine range from Lotus Herbals, I just needed all of them :D. I bought poppy blue to find if these liners are worth a try.

Packaging: The packaging is similar to Coastal scents liquid eye liner (which is reviewed on IMBB). It is a plastic bottle with a thin long cap. The eye liner is not runny. So even if you misplace it, the liner would not leak from the bottle. The tip of the applicator is not a brush but made of soft plastic. The tip is pointy and tiny. We have to apply two coats to get that perfect finish. The pointy tip helps in getting the perfect winged eyes.

Colour: This is a deep ink colour. I always wanted a real good electric blue colour. I am not so happy with this colour. The liner has some sparkles in it but not too glittery. This tends to be a great evening as well as morning wear. Staying Power: The liner stays, stays and stays. In the pictures I have rubbed the liner hardly with a dry tissue 5 times, and then it faded. Finally, I wiped off the liner with a wet tissue. But the shimmer still remained on my hand :D.

Once applied on the eyes, it gives a cooling effect for few seconds and then dries up. I wore this during the day for my shopping. I had been out for a good 5 hours. When I came back home, the liner was intact but faded a little. This liner does not smudge or flake. It fades away unevenly. The company claims the liner to be water proof so when I splashed water on my face and this liner remained there without smudging :D. This particular shade will look great on medium to fair complexion.
