Marks and Spencer Autograph Pure Colour Mono Eyeshadow – Peach Review

Hello, gals!
Here is my review on the last of the Autograph eyeshadow singles. This one’s Peach. I’ve had mixed feelings about the shades I reviewed earlier – Olive and Dark Blue. Let’s see how this one performed.

Packaging:
The product comes packaged in a sturdy square black compact with a sponge applicator. It has a decent mirror inside. I kind of like the packaging – it’s sturdy, it’s classy looking and has a good closure mechanism. This could easily pass for a high end eyeshadow single. The eyeshadow compact comes packaged in a black cardboard box.

My Experience with Marks and Spencer Autograph Pure Colour Mono Eyeshadow – Peach:

Shade: The shade “Peach” is actually a very pale muted peach colour. It’s like a barely there colour. It’s got satin finish – there is no shimmer whatsoever, not even a hint of micro-shimmer. I’m little on the fence with this one. I think it’s a good colour to even out the lid colour. Say, if you want something to even out and slightly brighten your dark lids, this one is great for the job. If you want to use this to add a dimension to your look with other shades, I don’t see it happening somehow.

packaging

In the collage, I have used it on the browbone and to highlgiht the bridge of the nose. As you can see – it’s barely visible because I have blended it and sheered it out. You basically have the option of building the colour up or sheering it out – with all the shades that I tried. Building it up or sheering it out – neither makes them look patchy. Sheered out, it melts into the skin. It doesn’t give much radiance. Alternatively, it can be built up to the color in the pan.

back

Texture: The texture is quite smooth and creamy. It blends easily. There was no fallout or creasing with this shade. The shade transfers easily onto the lid.

Staying power: Creasing and fading are not as apparent with this being a lighter shade. However, like the other, this too does need a primer to make it work through the day. With a primer, it gives about 6.5-7 hours wear time.

Pigmentation: The pigmentation is good. It applies easily to the colour in the pan.

The applicator is like a normal sponge applicator. It will help you tap on the eyeshadow onto the lid but will not really help with any blending skills.

Cons of Marks and Spencer Autograph Pure Colour Mono Eyeshadow – Peach:

• The colour feels a bit meh on the skin

IMBB Rating:
3/5

Overall Thoughts:
This could easily have been a lovely shade which could maybe have worked as an eyeshadow and an illuminator of sorts. But, I find the shade too meh. You can easily skip this one.
