As I had mentioned in my MUA Brow Kit review I did a small haul from MUA last month and ordered couple of their powder blushes out of which I will be reviewing the shade no 5 today for you all.
Part of our amazing £1 line, our blushers come in six shades. They range from pink and coral to deeper plums and natural nudes so you’ll definitely find one that suits you the most! Although to be honest with you, at £1 there’s no reason why you shouldn’t own all six! Just simply sweep across the apples of the cheek and up to the brow bone to create a soft yet beautiful contour. Gorge!
My experience with MUA Blusher – Shade 5
MUA powder blushes come in small plastic packaging with see through cover. The first thing that I noticed was that the blushes are so cute and small The packaging is quite good and sturdy though I had difficulties in opening the blusher once or twice since it seems to be quite tight but for the price I am ready to overlook it.
The powder blushes belong to the 1 pound range and comes in 6 fabulous shades! The shade no 5 is a gorgeous peachy coral shade with fine golden shimmer. The shade reminds me a lot of Sleek’s blush in Rose Gold the difference being Rose Gold is more pink with gold and MUA Shade 5 is peach with gold.
The pigmentation is really good and one swipe is enough to load the color. Though on my NC42 skin tone this shade does not show up but instead it gives subtle glow on my cheeks. You the when you want a blush which gives you a glow rather than color on your cheeks? this is one of them! The shimmer is very fine an does not show up as shimmer on cheeks but rather gives a gorgeous golden sheen. I personally think the blush will suit medium to fair skin tones beautifully. On extremely dark skin tones the blush probably would not show up much.
The texture is pretty good, it blends beautifully and there is no chalky feeling. The staying power is very average, on me it stays for hardly 3 hours but then with the price I can’t expect more and I am okay with touch ups since its the only way I will ever use up my products . I do have open pores but it did not accentuate them or settle in fine lines. Overall a good everyday wear blush an would suit all skin tones.
Pros MUA Blusher – Shade 5:
-> Sturdy and cute packaging.
-> Beautiful peachy gold shade.
-> Pigmentation is amazing and one to two swipes are enough.
-> Does not settle in fine lines or accentuate the pores.
-> Blends beautifully, no chalkiness.
-> Can’t beat the price!
Cons of MUA Blusher – Shade 5:
-> Low staying power.
-> Available only online.
This is how it looks on me, I hope you guys are able to see the subtle peachy sheen on cheeks?
