My Experience with The Body Shop Pink Grapefruit Body Scrub Gelee:

Summer is here and it’s time to pull out the shorts and skirts from the closet, which means showing some skin. So, it’s better to keep skin in good condition. Regular use of body scrubs to remove dead cells and light moisturizer is a must.  This product comes in a traditional TBS plastic tub. I always like to buy smaller size of any new product, before investing in full size. If I like it, I buy the bigger size. If I don’t, then it’s not a big loss 🙂

This body scrub from TBS perfectly qualifies as a summer body scrub. Cream-based body scrubs could be a little too much for summer as they may feel heavy and leave skin a little tacky. This one has a gel-like consistency and a light texture. The granules are neither too small nor big. They are of perfect size. It feels cool when applied on skin. Once applied, I could feel the granules working to remove those ugly dead cells and to reveal healthy skin.

The product smells exactly like grapefruit. It is definitely on the stronger side. I’m not a big fan of the grapefruit fragrance though. Thankfully, the smell doesn’t linger for long time.

For my hands and legs, I would need about a tablespoon amount of the product. I scrub for about a minute on each part. The granules are not harsh on the skin. On days when I have to shave, I make sure to use this. It gives a closer shave and reduces the appearance of ingrown hair.

It washes off very easily without making the skin feel slippery, which is why I love this for summers. It doesn’t dry out the skin, and I just need the regular light moisturizer after scrubbing.

This product tends to get used up faster than thick cream-based body scrubs. I used it once a week and the 50 ml tub lasted only for 3 uses for me.

• Lightweight scrub apt for summer.
• The granules are not harsh on the skin.
• Effectively removes dead skin cells.
• Washes off very easily.
• Makes skin soft and smooth.
• Good for shaving or waxing prep.
• Doesn’t make skin dry.

Cons of The Body Shop Pink Grapefruit Body Scrub Gelee:

• The scent is on the stronger side.
• The travel size tub lasted for only three uses.

Final Thoughts:

Though I really liked the way it performed, I did not quite like the way it smells. This is a great summer time busy scrub if you would like the fragrance. I would buy same kind of scrub from TBS, but in another fragrance.
