Wet n Wild Color Icon Deep Blue Eyeliner Pencil Review

I did a huge haul of Wet n Wild products recently! I guess I bought so many products that I can almost set up a store myself. 😀 I will be reviewing them soon, here’s the review of an eyeliner pencil.

My Experience with Wet n Wild Color Icon Deep Blue Eyeliner Pencil:

I must say these pencils are awesome! When you want a good substitute for the liquid eyeliner, they can fill in. These pencils are longer than usual eye pencils and it looks simple; nothing fancy. The wooden pencil has a plastic cap that is not flimsy. These are sharpenable. The body of the pencil is more of black than blue. The color of the pencil also looks black in person, but goes blue when swatched.

Coming over to the good part of this pencil, the pigmentation is great! It gives maximum color payoff with just one swipe, but on the darker side it starts to flake if I start to layer it. The shade is somewhat bluish grey. More on the grey side rather blue. I expected it to be more of a bright prussian blue. 😀 It does not give that ‘pop’ effect as the color is pretty much flat and muted. It gives a lovely matte finish that I adore.

The texture is also super soft and creamy, and care needs to be taken during application or the tip will break. I only wish it were waterline safe, but it hardly shows up. I tried to swipe it on my waterline only to be prone to irritation. Strict no to the waterline! It lasts for about 3 hours on my oily lids after which it starts to flake. The Charcoal one was better at lasting power and did not flake like this one. It is not totally smudge proof, but it does resist to an extent. It is also water-resistant. I really love these pencils, great quantity for the price!

Pros of Wet n Wild Color Icon Deep Blue Eyeliner Pencil:

• Glides easily without tugs.
• Great quantity.
• Color payoff is pretty good.
• The shade is a lovely bluish-grey color.
• Gives a pretty matte finish.
• Decent price tag.

Cons of Wet n Wild Color Icon Deep Blue Eyeliner Pencil:

• Starts to flake if layered, and also after 2.5 hours.
• Not actually a deep blue, more of a grey.
• Not suitable for the waterline.

Would I Repurchase/Recommend Wet n Wild Color Icon Deep Blue Eyeliner Pencil?
These are highly recommended! But, if you’re looking for a true dark blue, you can skip this since this has more grey undertones. The quantity is huge and it is gonna last me forever! 😀
