The Body Shop Coral Cutie Color Crush Lipstick
Hi lovely ladies!!!
I must admit, I’ve never had a good impression of The Body Shop lipsticks. I have seen a number of them through the years, and there were hardly any eye catching colours and moreover due to their poor pigmentation I stopped bothering to check them out and hardly paid any attention to the lipsticks from The Body Shop. That was until a few days back. I was at The Body Shop to buy body butters and I spotted this beauty. I couldn’t believe my eyes, beacuse finally The Body Shop was out with a bright orange lipstick. I have absolutely no idea when The Body Shop launched this new shade to their existing Colour Crush lippies range.
As soon as I tried this lipstick in the store, I knew I just wanted this lipstick, and in no time I had this beautiful lipstick to myself. So today I will be reviewing a gorgeous Body Shop Color Crush lipstick in the shade Coral Cutie.

My experience with The Body Shop Coral Cutie Color Crush Lipstick:
As soon as you see the packaging, one word that comes to your mind is-GORGEOUS. The packaging as a whole gives a very christmassy feeling. It comes in a silver tube with a translucent red cap. The cap colour varies from brown, pink to red depending on the color family it belongs to. The shade number is mentioned on the bottom sticker of the lipstick tube. I simply adore the packaging.
Coral cutie is a lovely bright orange lip colour without any shimmer or sheen. It is a bold, bright colour without being brash. It gives a nice pop of colour on the lips-that instantly brightens up the entire face. It isn’t a neon orange, so any skin toned beauty can rock this colour with ease.
The Body Shop Colour Crush Lipstick in the shade Coral cutie glides on the lips ultra smoothly. It has a gloriously thick, creamy and soft consistency, making it moisturising, without being sticky. It is really hydrating and you don’t require a lip balm underneath the lipstick- making it perfect for the winter. But make sure to exfoliate your lips beforehand for smooth application.
It feels like you have got lip gloss on, as it is really silky on the lips- almost like a lipstick and lip gloss in one. But after an hour or so, the glossiness disappears, but still the moisturized feel to the lips stays intact.
This lipcolour is incredibly pigmented with excellent colour pay off. Just one swipe of the lipstick renders a lot of colour. The colour payoff is fantastic, and once you have it on your lips, it kind of “sets” in place after a while and doesn’t budge. But make sure you don’t eat or drink something as soon as you have applied the lipstick, as it tends to transfer a lot- so I would suggest, to wait for a while for the lipcolour to set on the lips to avoid any transfer.
It’s not drying on the lips and it lasts for a good 5-6 hours. It leaves a bright stain on the lips which looks really lovely, though you need a makeup remover to properly get it out at the end of the day.
It claims to smell like roses but I wouldn’t say that I could smell a rose scent. According to me it smells fruity which isn’t bothersome, and even if it does bother a few, the good part is that it fades away after a minute or so.
