Pacifica is a brand which is sold exclusively by the Target chain of stores, like the way Sonia Kashuk is available at Target. On all my previous trips to Target, I have successfully ignored Pacifica, but this particular lipstick, I had received as a gift and now I am glad about my decision of ignoring these lipsticks because they are not worth the hype or the money.

My Take on Pacifica Power of Love Tender Heart Natural Lipstick:
Pacifica launched this particular range to promote love among women or some other similar concept, but I chose to not dwell over it. Since I was not super excited about the performance of this product, I didn’t do any further research about this product.
Packaging: It looks like a skinny lip balm. The product comes in a skinny, white tube with tiny hearts drawn over it – in sync with the love theme. The packaging is cute and attractive and looks promising to a consumer.
Texture: It is not that creamy or buttery as I like my lipsticks to be and hence I don’t consider this feature as a pro. This lack of creamy texture might be because this product is vegan and does not contain ingredients like most other lipsticks (that impart that super buttery texture), but since I am not vegan, I do not get excited over such trivia.
Color: The color didn’t excite me because it was way too n*de pink for my skin – the kind of color that stands out on brown skin tones but looks pretty and subtle on fair skin tones.
Pigmentation: Not that pigmented, especially since my lips are dark and this color is very pale, hence only after multiple swipes, I can achieve full coverage. This is yet another feature about this product that I won’t consider as a pro.
Shimmer and Shine: Does not claim to be matte, but yes, imparts a matte finish and it feels rather drying on the lips, hence it is important to use a hydrating lip balm underneath to make the application process easier and to avoid tugging and dragging on the lips.
Fragrance: The smell of the lipstick is a little odd with strong undertones of mineral oils which might be an issue for some. I feel like I am applying a substandard product on my lips.
Staying Power: Stays put for as long as I don’t eat a big meal, but with only drinks and snacks it performs well and one might require touch ups as and when needed.
This shade is pretty but would look better on fair skin tones. Also, I feel one can get a better product at $10, and if you are not particular about your makeup being vegan, you can skip checking it out.

No, because this product failed to excite me and I didn’t appreciate the performance of this product. I recommend it only to those who love trying out new brands, but others can skip it.
