ColourPop recently released traditional bullet lipsticks called “Lux” lipsticks. The Lux lipsticks are supposed to have a luxurious, comfortable, creamy matte formula and beautiful rose gold metal packaging. I purchased the shades “Ghosted” and “Lay Over.” So, let’s see how the shade Ghosted fared for me.

My Experience with ColourPop Ghosted Lux Lipstick:
Packaging: The packaging of the ColourPop lux lipstick is luxurious. The lipstick comes in a beautiful metal rose gold packaging with little gold stars all over it. The lipstick tube has a little weight to it. The bottom of the tube shows the colour of the lipstick and specifies the name “Ghosted.” The color-coordinated sticker helps us to identify the lipstick shade easily. The lipstick comes in a white cardboard outer packaging with ingredient list mentioned. The bullet of the lipstick also has stars embossed on it. Overall, the packaging is very luxurious, sturdy and travel friendly.
Texture and Application: The texture of this lipstick is creamy matte. The lipstick has got intense pigmentation. It feels very lightweight on the lips. The lipstick is infused with acai, jojoba and pomegranate seed butters. It gives lot of nourishment to my dry lips. The lipstick is very easy to apply. I use a lip liner and then fill in the lipstick with the help of a lip brush. Due to its creamy texture, the lipstick does smear outside the lips very easily. The lipstick gives a plump fuller look to my lips. The lipstick has a faint vanilla scent to it which is not overpowering.
Shade and Finish: The shade “Ghosted” is described as a ‘medium rose’ and it is indeed a beautiful warm-toned pink rose shade. It’s a perfect everyday shade. This shade will suit all skin tones. Ghosted is very comfortable to wear. The finish is very creamy matte and the lipstick glides on the lips easily.
Pigmentation and Coverage: The lipstick is super pigmented and super opaque. It gives a full coverage even if the lips are pigmented.
Staying Power: The staying power is really good with lipstick. It stays on my lips for a good 3 to 4 hours; however, it will start to fade easily if you eat meals or drink water. The lipstick leaves a pink tint once it fades. Overall, I am really happy with this lipstick. The lipstick can be easily removed with a makeup remover.

Yes, I do recommend because it is one of the best lipsticks I have ever tried. The packaging is very high end, the lipstick formula is great and you can’t beat the price. I would repurchase it definitely.
