Today’s review is about Ahava Time to Clear Refreshing Cleansing Gel. I recently purchased a few products from this brand called Ahava. I decided to go for their products after doing a bit of research and mainly because I found them interesting. Ahava is an Israeli cosmetics company which manufactures skin care products with ingredients such as mud and mineral-based compounds from the Dead Sea. Ahava is the only cosmetics company licensed by the Israeli government to mine raw materials at the Dead Sea.
I always wanted to use the mud of Dead Sea on my skin but that has not happened till now. So, till I visit Israel I need to stick to Ahava. All their products are paraben and SLS/SELS free. They are also allergy tested, which is a boon for people with extremely sensitive skin. The products are not tested on animals and produced without petroleum and harsh synthetic ingredients or GMOs.
Price: $25 for 100 ml

My Experience with Ahava Time to Clear Refreshing Cleansing Gel:
Let’s start with the face wash review now. 🙂 The face wash comes in a plastic tube with a screw lid. The packaging has earthy colours; nothing fancy but it looks classy. The material used is also good. This tube comes in an outer cardboard packaging.
The only thing I do not prefer is the screw lid cap. Most face washes I have used come with a flap lid. Such lids are very convenient to open and close in the shower with wet hands. I struggle a lot with this lid and the struggle is real. The ones who have used such lids know the struggle. After a month of usage, the screw cap is broken. I never mistreated the packaging and still it’s broken. I am disappointed with this fact!
The face wash itself is clear transparent in colour. I use a hazelnut sized amount for my face and neck. The product does not foam at all since it’s free of SLS. I was expecting this since I knew it’s free of SLS. But the product is so well made that it spreads well like a gel, and one can feel the skin getting cleaner and softer during usage. It also washes off easily with water and does not irritate eyes or skin.
I have very sensitive skin that breaks out periodically. My breakouts have calmed down after washing my face with this. The angry red pimple slows down and heals faster now. The skin does not feel ripped of natural oils after wash, but I prefer to use a moisturizer after washing my face. I totally love the results.
This product is supposed to remove makeup too but I use makeup wipes and then this product. The eyeliner or remaining mascara around the eye gets easily removed with this face wash. The product does not have any noticeable fragrance, so lesser chemicals. I love this product and am all set to explore more of this brand. Yes, it’s quite expensive, but worth the investment.
