My Experience with Garnier Skin Active Micellar Cleansing Gel Wash:
Micellar water has improved my skin tremendously. Recently, I went purchase a new one and I noticed this gel on the shelf! What is better than micellar water coming in a gel form and I picked it up instantly. This is one of the fastest-moving products in the store right now. I picked the last bottle available (victory!!!).
The gel comes in a transparent bottle with a pink pump. The gel wash comes in two variants for now – pink one and green for sensitive skin. I do not have sensitive skin and moreover it was available, so I settled for the regular one. The pump has a lock mechanism and this is great when you need to travel! The bottle is translucent and you can see the quantity of the gel inside. The gel in the bottle looks a bit cloudy compared to the beautiful micellar water. The product has a gel-like consistency and is not runny. The product lathers quite effectively and a little gel is enough for face and neck. The smell is pleasant and fresh and very similar to the water variant and is very natural.
The gel wash effectively removes dirt and grime, even waterproof makeup. The gel cleanses the face and refreshes it instantly. It can be used for makeup on eyes and lips and it doesn’t even irritate a bit. For the removal of lipstick, removal with this gel leaves stain on the lips. I noticed that the gel wash doesn’t do much justice and a slight hint of the tint remains, but it is not that I everyday use a bold red lipstick, so I don’t really mind.
The gel wash doesn’t irritate the skin, does not cause any breakouts. It doesn’t leave the skin dry and I was really happy with this. The product is also suitable for sensitive skin. Micellar gel is way better than micellar water. It thoroughly cleanses the face and doesn’t leave any hint of makeup. When followed up with a toner, you see hardly any dirt on the cotton. You do not need a lot of cotton balls to clean your face like micellar water, lather from the gel does the drink. The gel also adds a refreshing and cooling effect and also leaves a subtle glow on the face, but the glow lasts only a few minutes. Micellar Cleansing gel is a good innovation to the current line of micellar water and it is hassle free yet it provides great benefits! The product contains no perfume or parabens; however, it does contain SLS.
