A few days ago, Cherry Culture was offering a sale and there were these cute eyeshadow combination palettes by Amuse on sale. Considering, the sale price of these 15-eyeshadow and 3-blushes palette was only 2.99 dollars, even a non-eyeshadow person like me would thought it was a great buy. There were four different sets of eyeshadow palettes and I chose the most colorful and appealing of the lot, CPA-01. It’s very hard to resist buying these kind of palettes because the colours are very pretty and their high cute quotient.
When the palette arrived, I was kind of surprised because when I had seen it on the cherry culture website, it looked like a tiny palette, but on the contrary, this is quite a big palette. There are 15 eyeshadows and 3 blushes (though the website says there are 18 eyeshadows and 3 blushes), I counted and counted, but still there were only 15 eyeshadows.
There is a small eyeshadow applicator sponge brush and a completely redundant blush brush, which I will throw away soon. These are perfectly baked eyeshadows with no flying pigments or dust. Everything is well settled in the palette and does not move until the brush is swiped against it. I should mention that all the colours are very wearable. I am not an eyeshadow person, so describing the texture of the eyeshadows is a bit difficult for me, but they are nicely pigmented with a pearlescent finish with the right amount of glitter. Blending it in is really easy unless you want to use the applicator that comes along with this palette.
The blushes are in the shades of bronze, plumy, and almond. Again, these come with just a hint of glitter and would not go OTT on the face. Actually, even in the palette, the glitter shows up only if you examine it closely. The colors are buildable and all the three colours will look good on all types of skin shades. Again, staying power is an issue, but then, it’s not that bad for the price.
I am absolutely in love with this palette and for once I pat myself on my back because it’s a really good buy.
Here are the swatches of the eyeshadows and blushes from the palette:

I am all praise for this palette, but it has its own pros and cons, let’s see:
PROs of Amuse Combination Palette- CPA-01
• 15 wearable eyeshadows with very pretty shades.
• Pearlescent finish.
• Right amount of glitter.
• Smooth texture.
• Blends really well.
• Eyeshadows stick to the applicator nicely.
• Does not fall down or fly away.
• Nicely pigmented with pearl finish.
• Good quantity and quality for the price.
• All three blushes will work on all skin colours.
• There is just a hint of glitter in the blushes, hence, would not look OTT.
• Sturdy packaging, I dropped it many times, and it didn’t break!!!!
CONs of Amuse Combination Palette- CPA-01
• Malnourished and shabby blush brush.
• Staying power of both eyeshadow and blush is around 2 to 3 hours, which I think is a con.
• It’s not available in India, you will need a credit card for shopping…….(someone helped me with it…thanks anon!!!!).
Will I buy it Again: A big GRIN……buy….yes, the other palettes when they go on sale.
IMBB Star Rating: 4/5, -1 for the brushes.
